If Danzig had sung on the songs that Graves did, it probably wouldn't have sounded as good and vice versa.

They both have very different styles and both are fantastic vocalists. In terms of which Misfits era I liked better, I would probably have to go with Danzig but that doesn't take anything away from Graves.

Danzig is clearly the better singer. In his prime, he was regarded as one of the best punk and rock singers of all time. This cannot be said of Graves, who despite this is a fairly good vocalist.
The poor production quality is a big part of the atmosphere of the Misfits, it's punk; a big part of what's missing from the Graves era. Graves Misfits Danzig's vocals were great from the beginning, just listen to the first Misfits recordings "Cough/cool" and "She".
Danzig for sure, Graves is a better singer than Danzig. But Danzig has a signature bellow, his voice is 1 of a kind.

Well Danzig is the better misfits singer because he started them and wrote kick ass legendary songs, but even graves knows that danzig was better. But i do like Graves a lot and he did really good. Danzig kinda sold out.

Your facts are WAY off!!...First off Glenn was " 22 " when then the misfits started!! Possibly twenty one as I believe they started before his Bday in june!..Michael was 20-21 when he joined the Misfits..American Psycho came out on GEFFEN records!..One of the BIGGEST majors out there!..Danzig & Jerry released their records INDEPENDENTLY! Meaning they OUT OF POCKET payed to record, distribute their albums and so on..OBVIOUSLY the recordings with a MAJOR LABEL budget will sound more POLISHED!!

Danzig is a force of nature...Graves is just a replacement. Danzig created and sustained the Misits...where did the Misfits go after Danzig? Kryst the Konquerer..lol Danzig created Misfits...Samhain and Danzig of course...Graves where is he...Danzig hands down is the victor...Graves served his purpose for Jerry.

@Antirooster Every Misfit album from the Danzig era has its own identity and uniqueness. Remember the line up change very much in that era so you get a difference of style. They were punk in music, style and attitude with Danzig. What did Jerry do after the Misfits? He was in Kryst The Conquer...Who screwed up the reunion? Jerry as told by his brother Doyle himself..Like I said I respect your choice of Graves but to me Graves was just a replacement to make the 90's "new" Misfits fans happy.

@Antirooster Google or look up on wvhat Doyle had to say about his brother for screwing the the reunion.Danzig still gets royalties since he is an part owner of the MISFITS name.Graves only came to the Misfits after the dispute between parties resolved fees and usage of the name.How doesn't changing a drummer and guitarist change a band?Why did Doyle,Chud and Graves leave? Jerry only.Christ/Satan are just myths.Again look up what Doyle said about his brother.

Graves was with the misfits in the "Punk Revival" Which was mostly shitty pop bands thinknig thier punk. So that sort-of stood out alot more. Dig up her bones Video has 3 million in a year views. Last caress hasnt even hit 2 milion since 2006. The general fanbase likes graves. Danzig didnt impact. The band together did the impact

im going to say this. I LOVE ALL ERAS OF THE MISFITS but i love the Danzig era and the Graves era more. both singers brought different stuff to the table. Danzig had better songs. they were amazing and hes a great singer (im seeing him live in like less then 15 days.) while Graves has that voice where its amazing. and they also have good songs on their 2 cds. we all know Danzig is better but Graves respects Danzig so much. but like no matter what i llove both era's. im happy that the misfits

Danzig is clearly the better singer. In his prime, he was regarded as one of the best punk and rock singers of all time. This cannot be said of Graves, who despite this is a fairly good vocalist.

The poor production quality is a big part of the atmosphere of the Misfits, it's punk; a big part of what's missing from the Graves era. Graves Misfits Danzig's vocals were great from the beginning, just listen to the first Misfits recordings "Cough/cool" and "She".

Danzig for sure, Graves is a better singer than Danzig. But Danzig has a signature bellow, his voice is 1 of a kind.
For example: Jim Morrison was an ok singer. But they way he presented his voice was what made him famous.(besides lyrics) his low kinda growl voice chills my spine.

There would be no Michael Graves without Glenn Danzig. How could you compare them at all? All Michael Graves is doing is an impersination of Glenn Danzig. Michael Graves is a solid vocalist, but I'll never call what he did with Doyle and his brother "The Misfits". That band ended when Danzig left. Danzig created the concept, wrote the music, and named the band.
