i dont really understand why he quit 30 seconds to mars for Angels and Airwaves(no offense to AA)but he was there at the very beggining of 30stm's show in 2002 and he left in the middle of a tour...strange to me...

first of all,he quit cuase he wanted a break and wanted to be with his family. then a month after he wanted to play agin in a band,and tom delonge(singer from angels&airwaves)called him and asked if he wnted to join them.Matt said yes and thats the story. WEll, now i can add that AVA is a band that started as a side project by tom after quiting blink 182 for having more time with his family. so thats another reason matt said yes.cause he knew he could do the things he loves the most,at same time
