You can notice on the footage that although that it is nearly pitch black there are bits of light in the sky from behind the clouds. It set a perfect atmosphere for this song. What an amazing band, immense song and great performance. McCabe's guitars are completely off the charts.
I was there last year, a fantastic performance by one of the greatest bands ever. What you said is completely true, McCabe said it himself these songs were best suited for this time of day. There must have been 50 000 watching them that night ..the place was jammed solid right back to the beer tents ...and me, my big mate Paul, my young brother Pete and my son Craig were right in there paying homage. Life affirming stuff.
after 2 mins 50 when nick mcabe really kicks in you can tell richard is thinking this is music this is VERVE.....Amazing ..other than The who no band mixes light and dark shades so devastatingly ..verve are the band to be playing just before the second coming of Christ.
This is really great! I was a little concerned about Love is Noise...it doesn't sound like the Verve. They should've released something else. Now this is the Verve!
richard and nick supposedly had a bust up on stage in japan resulting in nick being put in hospital. hope they can work it out together as a band the verve soar this is a stunning song.
