  • nope, worf is defanately not a merry man!!! lol!!

  • what episode is this from?

  • @Clone683 Season 4 episode, "The Quickening"

  • One person doesn't think Quark's is fun :(

  • I WANT THAT MUG! XDDD

  • A pissed off Klingon- no problem. But a pissed off Kira- "Lemme help you with that Chief." Lmao!

  • Got to love how it Kira and not Worf that scared Quark into fixing the problem.

  • Oh Quark.. the perfect troll

  • I would choose to have fun with Kira.

  • Never mess with Worf and Kira!!!

  • A truly classic moment in the history of TV!!!

  • This scene must've been a lot of fun for the writers and the actors.

  • This was always one of my favorite scenes of all time from Star Trek Deep Space Nine. My friend Rob Martell and I, back in "the day," just about hacked up a lung when we first saw Worf come out, point at Quark and go: "YOU!!!" And the look on his face after he demonstrates how the cup plays Quark's ad when tipped? Priceless!

IMHO, Star Trek Deep Space Nine had probably the best character work in Star Trek history (although I felt it ENDED somewhat lamely).

  • straight tsim fuckis

  • wharfs reaction is priceless

  • "If all your little advertisements aren't purged from the system by the time I get back from the Gamma Quadrant, I will come to Quark's and believe me... I WILL have fun."

    Sexy time?

  • Quark is pure win :)

  • KIRAAAA SO MUCH LOVE

  • @mrorville1 Oh yes, and Ezri, too.

  • ahahhahahahahha

  • You can't do a little advertising in the future?

This is Commie-Trek: The Next Oppression.

  • @Amar7605 Sure you can advertise! You just can't do it by hacking into a governmental communication system (or a warship, for that matter).

  • @Amar7605

Communism or Capitalism are both different ways to control money. Money is used to control resources. In theory a society could be free of the need to manipulate people simply by having an abundance of resources. The choice between Capitalism and Communism is a false choice, the problem isn't how money is controlled, the problem is money itself. The fact that humans in Star Trek have no money is the greatest relevant example of liberty I've ever seen in science fiction.

  • @AgentGhost But in the Star Trek universe no one would really progress because there's little incentive. No one would invent a better transporter (they've been unchanged for 200 years) because there's no money in it. A few scientists might, so they can put that in their obituary when they die...but that's it.

  • @YesWeCantaloupe

Actually it's been stated that transporters and other tech has changed and improved. There is a standard of living but if you want a better one you work. People join starfleet for a variety of reasons such as tech opportunities, exploration, sense of duty etc.

  • @toomanyaccounts Not everyone is as ambitious as a starfleet cadet. Why not earn everything you have like the Ferengi, instead of stuff being given to you by Big Brother? I think human nature would have 5/6th of the world sitting on their asses doing nothing if the Federation gave people all they needed.

  • @AgentGhost So long as resources are finite there will be a perpetual struggle for control over those resources. Whether control is gained (and maintained) through atlatls or currency manipulation via national debt ratios is irrelevant. This combined need for shiny things and killing from a distance has driven mankind from cave dwellers to the present day; it is inescapable. Star Trek's utopia Earth is and will always remain a fantasy, nothing more.

  • @Amar7605

You can advertise but what he did interfered with station operations.

  • I'd like to have some "fun" with Kira...

  • So, much, win.

  • I love the part where Quark's name rotates round and round.

  • wait a minute, quark offering free refills on prune juice??? Worf should be thanking him lol

  • Y'know, this is Starfleet blatantly denying Quark his free speech rights.

  • @brianbuck70

Not at all, there's advertising then there's hacking into a government system to run your ads lol.

  • The little stuff like this is why DS9 equals TNG as the best of the Trek series.

  • I WANT THAT CUP

  • I always lose it when Worf tips the cup.

  • LOL. This is annoyingly funny, just the thing to get on someone's nerves when you really want to.

  • somehow,I agree with Quark.....DON'T MESS WITH MAJOR KERRA.......LMAO!

  • What would have happened if Quark had done that while the Dominion was in control of the station?

  • @irishmike2182 Since the Cardassians are portrayed as arrogant, they would probably get a good belly laugh before purging the system and having their way with him, but Quark know he wouldn't dare try with them. He knows he can get away with it here with much less worry.

  • LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL

  • I have a mug like that that plays Jingle Bells. So I guess the key word there is "like".

  • I want that Cup now ...to drink Tea. Black. Hot.

  • Lool, i'd like to tamper with Worf's replicator - so that his prune juice appears in a pink glass with a little pink umbrella and a curly straw.

With: "Klingons take it in the butt... without honour!" written on the glass.

Just to see the look on his face.

    XD

  • @MiG2880

It would probably be the last thing you ever do.

  • @Misterunnamed @AeronPeryton

Yeah, I would make sure i'm within dashing distance of a runabout...

But i'd paint his bat'leth pink and modify it with fluffy hand grips before I go.

    XD

  • @MiG2880 His gaze would cut through the glass.

  • Parts like this is why I love DS9. So many funny moments!

  • @Oedi2674 Me too. Hmmm... I still wonder who Quark was more afraid of. Or maybe he realized both of them would come to Quark's. And then have fun.

  • I think even Obrian was scared of Kira there at the end! XD

  • Its the 24th century in Star Trek and spam is still a problem.

  • So to recap this scene:

Quark is opportunist and in fact went against Siskosrefusal to allow him to advertise on the station in season 2.

Hell hath seldom fury like a Klingon shitting bricks.

And Kira's idea of fun is quarks bar

  • ''eh... lemme help you with that, Chief!''

  • "Quarks - Free Refill" is written on the cup. I'm amazed he'd even use the word free.

  • @vguyver2

"Free" is just a figure of speech :-)

  • @lucius1976

    So true, so true.

  • @vguyver2 It's all about the long-term profit.

  • I'm just starting to watch this show.

I think I'm gonna like Quark.

  • @GaelicFreak: Keep on watching-and better yet, watch from the first season! Welcome to Star Trek: DS9!

  • lol this looser is named after a type of cheese

  • lol worf wanting prune juice... not a good combo

  • I want one of those cups.

  • Quark must be the only person in that room, if not the entire station, that has a decent sense of humor. Right?

  • Kira hates Quark because he was a "collaborator" during the Occupation, but in the mirror universe, Quark was killed because he helped Terrans stow away on ships and escape. It stands to reason then than in the normal universal, he probably would've helped Bajorans in the same way, given it was a similar situation. Quark isn't at all evil - he is merely a Ferengi.

  • @edinscot56789 Kira did not hate Quark because he was a "collaborator", because Quark wasn't a collaborator, he was a Ferengi. collaborators were Bajorans who worked with the Kardasians. Kira hated Quark because he was a thief, black-marketeer, and all-around sneaky opportunist (i.e. a Ferengi).

  • Hilarious stuff! BTW, Nana Visitor is pregnant. You can see it if you look closely. The reason for the surrogate mother stuff that started in the very next episode was to cover up her real life pregnancy. And as if that isn't interesting enough, Alexander Siddig is the father.

  • wait? the mug says Free Refills? We sure this was Quark's doing?

  • @SDZer0 The bottom of the glass says "limit one per customer". Sounds like Quark's doing to me.

  • Any idea where I can get one of those Quark's mugs?

  • actually, ferengis are supposed to be yankee traders, and pure capitalists. bajorans and cardassians = the jews and nazis

  • Not entirely sure how I should interpret that, hobgob.

  • you didn't know that quark was a jew?

  • @HMDerek4 I posted a link to this clip in the Star Trek Online forums because Cryptic didnt do Quark's bar any justice at all on DS9 ingame

  • Typical of Quark.

  • I love Kira's threats! "I WILL have fun!"

  • "Don't walk... RUN!"

  • huahahaha, absolutely hilarious.

  • YOU!

  • @3of11

    The best part! XD

  • @3of11 THIS!

  • One of Star Trek's funniest scenes ever!

  • You are so busted, Quark!

  • I love the park where his name spins around!

  • I think even Chief O'Brien felt sorry for Quark as the Ferengi was facing a painful, horrific death from two fronts.

  • A very funny beginning to a rather somber episode.

  • "Uh... Let me help you with that Chief!"

  • A warrior's drink.

  • Why did Worf get mad at Quark?

  • Because his prune juice came in a cup with Quark's face on it, that sings the jingle when you tilt it to drink it. Which would get rather annoying.

  • Never mess with a Klingon, let alone a Constipated one!!!

  • @aoxomoxoadead Because he had to listen to his stupid jingle every time he tipped his mug back

  • Come to Quark's, Quark's is fun, Come right now, Don't walk, RUN!

  • Which episode is it?

  • I'm pretty sure it's from the season 4 episode "The Quickening".

  • thanks!
