@Falamu445 Not exactly, the Nationalists actually performed well against the Japanese, the Chinese were already winning by 1939 before the USA got involved. The Japanese invasion gave the Communists time to regroup. The Communists were great fighters, they were spiritually unified and had great tactics, unlike the Nationalists who were always fighting over power. Hopefully someday the Nationalists will get the full credit they deserve for beating the Japanese.

Russia only invaded once Germany was defeated, while Britain and America was fighting two fronts at the same time. Plus, by the time Russia intervened, Japan had most of her elite soldiers killed. Russia just cleaned up the scraps.

They signed a treaty so USA could demilitarize the Jap army and station USA troops there to bulwark Communism in China and USSR. Also, Japs did medical tests on many victims and USA govt wanted to use this data to enhance their own bio/chemical weapons. The bulk of the victims were ethnic Chinese, so USA could care less.

It was Mao's PLA communists who finally united the nation. Many ill-equipped PLA used their body as shields during Korean War. That shows what a change of leadership can do for troop morale. The KMT outnumbered the communists by 8 to 1 at one point and still lost civil war, so yes, KMT sucked.

Just to let people know. If I was China's leader back then, regardless of who's party. I would build up my military power and armys and rev them up and sent them into Japan and give them a taste of how it feels to be near the edge of a sword and a 50 cal machine gun.
And no I'm not crazy, it's just that when you think about it. Japan wasn't punish serverlly enough by the USA.

@Tanakun09 Very true. The WW2 Japs weren't punished severely enough. Emperor Hiroito and the echelon of the Jap army were never executed...only 7 out of the entire army. They signed a treaty so USA could demilitarize the Jap army and station USA troops there to bulwark Communism in China and USSR. Also, Japs did medical tests on many victims and USA govt wanted to use this data to enhance their own bio/chemical weapons. The bulk of the victims were ethnic Chinese, so USA could care less.

@donguinto Yeah, when you think of it brother. USA was only concern about their own interest. They never gave a dame about China or any other Asian people who were being butchered by Imperial Japan. And now look at today and the past. The world is in a much different state as it is after World War 2. World Super power never learned from History. That I can go and say proudly.

@david245611 Well, here's what happened. The Emperor took back the site of power and what ever he says goes. Similar to that as a king would do. So to shorten it, Japan became a power house and started taking lands from far away country's in Asia. To make things worse, the soldiers were ever ruthless as ever. Rape, torture, murder, was one of the many crimes the Imperial army committed. That's why USA grounded them and make sure they never had a mobile army. Only a National guard army only.

The Chinese were outgunned,outnumbered, and out trained. We were at a severe disadvantage. Every civilian had to fight with what ever weapon they had, if they resisted. Some of the rich Chinese though, they defected to the Japanese and did anything to not be killed. They were traitors and were considered as criminals of China after the war.

@gamergeektwo the Japanese Americans had their share of hardship in WW2 and were victims of it. Tens of thousands were interned and thousands of Japanese American youths died fighting Nazi Germany in Europe. It's indeed sad that the contributions of Japanese Americans were undermentioned... Have you watched Go For Broke? Nice movie=) I did a movie critique on it for my univ assignment.

@reborn84 yes i have and it was a really good movie and yes i hated it when they put loyal americans in camps, over 10,000 soldiers of the 100th battalion and the 442nd regiment died fighting, they will not be forgotten.

@gamergeektwo Yes we can XD I'm Chinese and my friend is Japanese and I've got a japanese almost boyfriend. Ofcourse it's so sad what happened. But in war people lose their human form and there's no such thing as god, or integrity, everyone fights for their own lives, government, and pride. Only the ones with courage would go against the government and most of the time pay for it with their lives. Holding a grudge doesn't solve anything the ones to blame are the ones who caused this like Hitler.
