The good news is that this hunt has not taken place since the tsunami destroyed all their boats in March 2011. Since the hunters are mostly elderly, it's unlikely that the industry will be revived in the foreseeable future. The Fisheries Agency declined to give them any special help over that given to help all citizens recover from the disaster.

Japanese should be embarrassed of any of these activites. A country that is supposed to be developed and wealthy should have a long term vision of global as well as ecologiacl issues. A country that promotes ZEN style living in its luxury products and life-style is obviously a fraud. And lets not even start with the blue wales that are killed etc..

Tens of millions of dollars/yen have been invested in Caribbean island nations by Japan for "food security".

Government officials in the Caribbean are being bought off by Japan in exchange for pro-whaling votes.

Stop traveling to the Caribbean until these officials are replaced with those who will not accept Japan's blood money.
