Not exactly true. DeVante sang the hook on "Let's Do It All" and "Pump It Back", along with some of the interludes on that album. Those were all his vocals, just layered. But that's not DeVante singing "baby yeah" right here.

that isnt his vocals on either of those songs you said I have that cd and he didnt sing k-ci and jojo did the singing point blank when they got on stage he did backing vocals but on the albums he didnt sing he wrote and produced on interludes he talked and talking isnt singing

Man, go listen to "Gin and Juice" (DeVante's solo song) and then go back and listen to the HOOK on "Let's Do It All" and "Pump It Back". Those are his vocals. And listen to "Room 454: DeVante's Inhermission". The guy singing "Feeling so good tonight/Give me your time....." is DeVante. His vocal style is distinct once you hear it.

He may not be a great singer but he can hold a note. He also sings the second verse Da Bassment's "Love You Down". Teddy Riley couldn't really "sing" the way Aaron Hall could but he also held down some songs for Guy like "Wanna Get With You" and "Spend the Night".

Why would they have Devante lipsynching in the video if it is JO Jo actually singing thats Devantes voice. There is another version of the video where they show K-ci and Devante singing the baby yeas and the it switches to K-ci and Jo Jo.. Im a huge Jodeci fan and i know Devante didnt sing lead when they came out as Jodeci. But before they came out he did sing.

Who knows? Maybe because DeVante organized the group in the beginning or because he was a prettyboy! Jodeci were prone to doing this. For example, the "baby I'm beggin" from "Cry For You" was just K-Ci and JoJo, but DeVante and Dalvin lipsynch it in the video and would sing it in concert.
