I have a few things to say and ask although I have played and won the whole game on Tokugawa's side without a loss. Why is Fukushima drunk(I think it is because he is sad he has to fight Kato?) and, I never noticed that Hosakowa(I think that is his name, I always get it wrong) has a skirt.

@Blocky858 Yeah, Fukushima is upset about his fight with Kato since they where so close (But actually, when you go to the fight, they charge towards eachother, but instead of jousting or dueling; they clasp hands and have a short talk.) And Hosokawa does not have a skirt! It's the HAIDATE [thigh guards].

I think the hats are probably to try and help you recognize who's who. It's a lot for a non Japanese player to take in.

Guilt. Kiyomasa Kato and he were allies in the battle against Mitsuhide. The 'Seven Spears'. I think Fukushima was rumored to be Hideyoshi's cousin. Regardless, he and Kiyomasa are best friends on opposing sides.

These ladies are members of the Sanada 10, the legendary ninja followers of Yukimura. They were the bodygaurd that held back Ieyasu's conquest. Although, historically those members were said to be male and there was only one female member... Anayama I think... Anyway, I would say ninja outnumber kunoichi, so the few that existed had to really be tough ones. That's my opinion.

is it possible to play as kuroda in kessen?

Yes. Kuroda is the successor to Mitsunari. But no matter how you play, Kuroda will be injured in battle and die. Yukimura is then elected as his successor.

btw, Kuroda's voice actor, Richard Newman, is one of my personal favorites.

According to a site on Josui Kuroda, he had 3 names. Yoshitaka Kuroda was his real name. Kanbei Kuroda was his popular name, and Josui Kuroda was his Buddhist name. Pretty neat.
