Very good stance he should lear how to hold the rifle harder so he doesnt get hit in the face with the scope i had that happend to me wtih my 458 like 10 times because it was the first time i have shot a rifle bigger then a 300 win mag lol it hurt pretty bad i had to go to the er one time because it cut me open pretty bad i would wear eye protection tell you get the feel to the gun and can handle the recoil ps. very nice stance just learn how to handle the recoil more
@Brewchief2002 lol a 7mm mag has les recoil.. it is a smaller case pushing a 140-165 gran bullet and a .300 win mag is a bigger case pushing a 165-180 grain bullet.. just some advice.
Take the butt of the gun and put it loosely in front of your shoulder or else the impact can break your shoulder, hold the trigger handle with hard grip (no homo).
nice, what kind of distance do you get with that rifle? my first big gun was 8 inches ling and i carry it between my legs lol, but seriously, i'm looking for a new hunting rifle, my old remington won't stop jamming, and my shotgun mences the dear before i can even inspect it after its down, lol, and how much did it cost?
You dont need eye wear with regarding recoil. If you have it firmly tucked into your shoulder and your shoulder is pressing forward against it, it should never hit you in the face, period.
Also this looks nothing like a steyr "scout" lol..
Geez, all you people are extremely ignorant to firearms, thinking this is an AWP, needing eye protection. One, this rifle appears to me to be a Weatherby vanguard synthetic chambered in either .300 WM or WBY. And for recoil, you don't need eye protection as long as you maintain a proper shoulder and cheek weld. I am 5'11" and weigh 145 pounds and I shoot my .300 RUM fine without getting "scoped", and I am pushing 200 grain accubonds at 3200 ft/s with RL-25, no slouch there.
@Derail07 who says i'm a pro? i never did, i'm just stating he should either be wearing glasses so he doesn't get hit in the eye, or he should learn to should the weapon right. Actually he should learn to shoulder the weapon right either way, but use safety glasses until he has learned the proper way.
@eckels3000 Ooooo safety pussy on the premises! i wear ear protection, buy eye is ridiculous. i cant even see down my ak sights with eye protection, its always blurry
lol thats what i thought also. she was like no no no i hate guns , but me and my dad made her and of course that happened , it was a pretty strong bb gun though
actually, its not an AWP. AWPs have that little thumb hole behind the trigger. its probably just a winchester 300 or somethin. i personally have a 30-06 that ive been firing since age 9
wod to the wise when shooting a high caliber rifle form a bech your body will absord ALL of he recoil instead of rolling with it like when your standing up
You know, I've seen a lot of these gun-kick videos here. A couple comments... 1. They are not paintball guns. They relase massive energy in a millisecond to propel that round downrange with enough power to kill an elk at well over 1000 yards. 2. With that in mind, you have to lean into these weapons with that butt firmly seated into the cleft of the shoulder. Its obviously not an Xbox video. You learn quick the first time that scope hits you in the eye. Don't let the weapon control you.
what? are you suggesting i havent fired a dragunov? well you would be correct but i have fired a psl which is the same thing pretty much, and it does not have more kick
By the way: "Shooten" has no meaning, and it not part of the english language. "stronger" is not usually used to refer to guns, as strength does not pertain to firearms. (Caliber does.) And yes, I can do it better than you.
Nice vid, try to shoulder the rifle better (especially because you're sitting down) Had you been closer to the scope you couldve hurt yourself. (also try not to flinch)
What could you do better than me? Crying about words? -Must be the only thing, you can ever do. WHO CARES? Do you think, that american english language is the only english language?

Yes, but there are many kinds of 7.62. The most common one is 7.62 x 51 NATO, which is not what I was referring to below. The 7.62 NATO is almost identical to a .308 Win. I was talking about the 7.62 x 54 Russian, fired by the Dragunov and Mosin-Nagant. Both of these 7.62 rounds differ from the above .30 caliber round, which is a magnum round. So, though all may be .30 caliber rounds, all are very different in power and characteristics, buddy.
Well, when you stated "7.62 is .30 caliber", I took it as meaning that you believed the rounds I was referring to in my first post were equivalent when in fact they were not. That is why I responded by talking about the differences there can be between cartridges that are in the same category, like the differences between a 7.62R and a .30-06 Spr. or between a 7.62 NATO and a .30-30, or even between 7.62R, 7.62 NATO, and 7.62 x39.
I definitely see a lot of shooters shouldering their guns improperly at the range, mostly younger adults and teenagers. I've never had a problem with the recoil of any gun that I've shot, and I think a lot of that comes simply shooting correctly.

Wearing glasses is recommended not only for GSR and casings flying around, also pieces of metal that bounce of the target can hit you.
I shoot steel from time to time, with lead nose as well as FMJ, and i always get hit in the face (from no more than 18 meters though).
I wear eye protection at all times, just to be sure. It's not allowed to enter the range here without anyway.

No such thing as a sniper gun.
Only a sniper's gun.
If the shooter is not a sniper, it is not a sniper's rifle.

If we keep calling sport rifles "sniper rifles" so will the liberals in congress.

I dunno, I've fired mine for hours at a time and my shoulder doesn't hurt. Steel butt-plate too.
It could hurt if you don't shoulder the rifle properly I guess though.

I definitely see a lot of shooters shouldering their guns improperly at the range, mostly younger adults and teenagers. I've never had a problem with the recoil of any gun that I've shot, and I think a lot of that comes simply shooting correctly.

call of duty what?
...looks like a Weatherby Vanguard to me.
Monte Carlo stock.... reversed angle on the fore end. Definitely a Weatherby.
