Very good stance he should lear how to hold the rifle harder so he doesnt get hit in the face with the scope i had that happend to me wtih my 458 like 10 times because it was the first time i have shot a rifle bigger then a 300 win mag lol it hurt pretty bad i had to go to the er one time because it cut me open pretty bad i would wear eye protection tell you get the feel to the gun and can handle the recoil ps. very nice stance just learn how to handle the recoil more

Wearing glasses is recommended not only for GSR and casings flying around, also pieces of metal that bounce of the target can hit you.

I shoot steel from time to time, with lead nose as well as FMJ, and i always get hit in the face (from no more than 18 meters though).

I wear eye protection at all times, just to be sure. It's not allowed to enter the range here without anyway.

Take the butt of the gun and put it loosely in front of your shoulder or else the impact can break your shoulder, hold the trigger handle with hard grip (no homo).

You dont need eye wear with regarding recoil. If you have it firmly tucked into your shoulder and your shoulder is pressing forward against it, it should never hit you in the face, period.

Geez, all you people are extremely ignorant to firearms, thinking this is an AWP, needing eye protection. One, this rifle appears to me to be a Weatherby vanguard synthetic chambered in either .300 WM or WBY. And for recoil, you don't need eye protection as long as you maintain a proper shoulder and cheek weld. I am 5'11" and weigh 145 pounds and I shoot my .300 RUM fine without getting "scoped", and I am pushing 200 grain accubonds at 3200 ft/s with RL-25, no slouch there.

You know, I've seen a lot of these gun-kick videos here. A couple comments... 1. They are not paintball guns. They relase massive energy in a millisecond to propel that round downrange with enough power to kill an elk at well over 1000 yards. 2. With that in mind, you have to lean into these weapons with that butt firmly seated into the cleft of the shoulder. Its obviously not an Xbox video. You learn quick the first time that scope hits you in the eye. Don't let the weapon control you.

I own a Mosin Nagant 91/30 Sniper. It is called a SNIPER by name and it IS a sniper rifle.

Yes, but there are many kinds of 7.62. The most common one is 7.62 x 51 NATO, which is not what I was referring to below. The 7.62 NATO is almost identical to a .308 Win. I was talking about the 7.62 x 54 Russian, fired by the Dragunov and Mosin-Nagant. Both of these 7.62 rounds differ from the above .30 caliber round, which is a magnum round. So, though all may be .30 caliber rounds, all are very different in power and characteristics, buddy.

I definitely see a lot of shooters shouldering their guns improperly at the range, mostly younger adults and teenagers. I've never had a problem with the recoil of any gun that I've shot, and I think a lot of that comes simply shooting correctly.
