  • Saw this onTV in 2006. So Flying cars have been in the labs since I presume, 2000

  • lithium polimer batteries and fuel cells have great power to weight ratio when they are expensive, but things getting cheaper wen they become more popular

  • HELP OF ET.

  • suharinos is wrong, there is no reason why an electric powered vehicle shouldn't fly.

  • There are planes with elec. motors, but electric powered helicopters or vertical take off-planes (like Moller sky car) will not be with electric engines in near future, there's no such power source yet which could deliver enough power to be rational. Yes, batteries could give enough power say for 10 minutes, but what do u do with that short amount of time, nothing. Yes you can built one and it obviously can fly few minutes, but it's useless.

  • Sorry, i like music in this video. Can you, please, tell me who is it? Thnks)))

  • Never! How do you think this thing will be powered in few years? Gasoline is high prized, electric engines are out of question due to their heavy weight. This was supposed to be everybodys personal flying car! This thing is a dead idea before it was born!

  • An electric motor is lighter than a gasoline motor.

  • Yes, electric engines have better efficiency, but their power source (battery) has a very poor weight to wattage ratio, and that eats off the efficiency advantage that electric engines have.

In overall performance, gasoline engines are better when we measure their weight/wattage/power ratio. That is the reason why electric engines are not used in air vehicles.

  • You could just as well do what they do in Diesel trains: Use a combustion engine to power a generator to get the electricity.

  • That system on planes would be useless. It requires even bigger combust. engine to produce electricity than the electr. engine itself because of the poor efficiency. And when taking count the efficiency of the generator, even decreases the efficiency. Think about the weight that all of those components would create, and the amount of fuel what it needs to run !

Reason they use that system on land and ocean vehicles is a better control of elec. motor than combust. eng. More simple and cheaper.

  • See? And that is why they use Electic engines on the SkyCar.

  • What a nonsense !

Moller SkyCar uses Wankel rotary engines, called Rotapower-engines.

  • these cars wont be out intill like 2040 dude.

  • they wont be out, but things like this have been made for over 40 years by the gov. or at least tested. w/e, they do have them though.

  • 0:35 = MEET GEORGE JETSON!!!

  • YOUTUBE is out there for everyone in the world. Don't bitch just because you are so lazy that you don't bother learning other languages. Did you realize that other people can speak English but english speaking people can't grasp the concept of learning other languages. And you think you're smart?? lol

  • You have a point there, I guess most of us Americans are used to having it our way. It's a good and a bad thing. Nice video huh? I really like it, despite the fact I can't read it. I can imagine what it says however.

  • ek praat nie spanish nie damnit!

  • Fucking ufo

  • cable for the "INSURance company" my eye. I am sure there IS no one test flight insurance policy. Instead, it seems more likely the cable supplied electric current because his device is too weak for a battery for starting or a altermator for charging. the device is mainly engine housings. Moller was sued by the FTC in 2003 for fraud.

  • If the insurance company is requiring the tether for this test... what would YOUR insurance company require should you buy one and try to fly it to work? Hahahaha!

  • I agree with your initial statement. That did seem just a little bit funny. I just thought that he wasn't sure if the machine would just stop and send him to the ground with some broken bones.

  • Justinjm... There's YouTube video of the SkyCar X200 hovering. It has a cable attached to it hanging from a crane... but if you look closely, you'll see that there is nobody in the cockpit. The cable allows remote control. You know, it's customary to tether experimental vrtol craft while they're being developed... but it's been 46 years since his 1962 first attempt! From the Wright Brother's first flight to the ME-262 was LESS than 46 years. Moller makes hovering cars and nothing more.

  • Happen to know what I got a thumbs down for? wandering morons no doubt. Anyway, thanks for the information. Just so you know, I wasn't defending the guy, I don't even know who he is. I was just looking through videos, trying to find something interesting. It's hard to believe that anyone would take this guy seriously after 46 years... That's just way to long for anyone of competence. Oh well I guess, some people are the reason other people take pain medicine.

  • Justinjm... Sometimes I get thumbs down, sometimes thumbs up, usually nothing at all. I take it to be more representative of the demographic of the crowd than a reflection of the veracity of my statement. There's all kinds of people in here.

  • flying cars would be useless but cool

  • It is spanish. And you want english? find a video intended for yanks. Have some fucken respect for other languages.

  • BEANER

  • Use english you mexican douche

  • U idiot, that is not spanish,,,,,,

  • maybe these cars is all those sausers people be seeing

  • You know what, your probably right!

  • Yeah, but people have been seeing Saucers since way before we even had this technology.

  • Er no, all those who think they've seen flying saucers are cunts high on drugs. They haven't got a fucking clue! People are starting to see craft in England now as it's littel known that USA now test their aircraft there instead as less people to see them and not many will think they're USA craft.

  • xm 4(Moller 200x i think) is the coolest

  • m1500 sucks

  • yeah, it looks weird, but at least it looks better then Xm 3.

  • I for one admire this man. He has a dream. And he is working very hard and investing alot to realize that dream. How many of you are chasing your dreams? How much time, effort and money are you willing to invest in your dreams? I hope they eventually get it right.

  • What he's doing is STALLING, and wasting the grants he's been getting on other things and calling it research. He hasn't made any more advances in years. He's just doing barely enough to get those grants.

  • Dr Moller advice for you instead of Wasting your money --on this crap better -- work on Plasma Aerodynamics --this one is Waste of Money

  • or a pogo stick

  • For $1 million, you too can hover 10ft above the ground!!

  • DR. Moller, this is the most incredible thing I have ever seen in my entire life.I am thinking of buying one of my very own and my family would to.

  • How would some know how people slaved for years on something unless they are working there-this sounds like one of his kids that are employed there-the 800watt stereo would actually be the only thing that would work properly in this thing-right Jenn?

  • Grim dood, 1st thing i do wit this rail is cut out the dash board and put in my 800W rapper boom box!

Mans i be a rippin round the airs goin Ba-BoOM, Ba BoOM!

Ha, mans i get my whip trippin like Biggy!

I gets me all the babes, yep thats wats i do!

  • same mind lol

  • so flying saucers are real afterall

  • Moller will eventually end up in jail for fraud.

  • whats the name of the songggggggggg?

  • I don't no exactly de name of the song, but the name of the band is Biosphere!

  • no I don't kill myself because I can actually pilot things unlike you pathetic hondaboy wtf kind of name is that. why would Dr Moller invent it if it wouldnt work people have slaved for hours testing it and if you don't believe these fly you can go fuck yourself motherfucking piece of shit burn

  • Gee have you ever thought of making a real comment instead of just using profanity-so tell me when was it last flown, did it transition into real forward flight or just flop around at the end of a cable-you might want to avoid the porn sights in the future as your dialog reflects it.

  • Here, here Hondaboy46! Profanity from the knuckle dragger aside, this is a failed business venture. Why else would they try to sell this thing on Ebay a while back? Yes, it hovers, but it doesn't even come close to the promises made from a man who said they were going to produce these in 1976. Pull your head out of the sand jl30568; seeing this fly and seeing them on the streets ( or airways ) are two different things. Are they being produced? ( cue crickets chirping )

  • Well he was a knuckle dragger and fxguy1 it wasen't a failed business venture for him, he will retire rich from others investments without producing a thing! Remember the SEC sued him for FRAUD and misleading investors-a liar and con man he is!!!

  • whatever you think idiot i've seen one of these fly

  • whatever you think bitchface motherfucker!

  • I strongly suggest everyone who believes this isn't a scam put ALL their funds into Mollers company!

    They deserve what they'll get.

  • get fucked hondaboy you're full of shit. they've tested these moller skycars heaps of times before why the fucking hell would anyone listen to you, motherfucker.

  • Hey jl30568 or whatever you call yourself-then lets see one fly-opps it can't -its all a lie to just get investors to give him more money-and if I am full of it then tell me their new contol system and about the 30 year old 200x -well now the 200G-they say it's in production now-buy it and kill yourself!

  • Have you not seen the vid to the right of the screen called 'Flying cars are here'?

It proves that atleast the latest one can fly

  • A decent question, but what do you call flying-it really barely hovers and has never flown anywhere. In a pamplet produced by Moller in 1974 he claimed production by 1976, that was the M200 now called the 200G-it last flew in 1989-ask him to fly anything today-he can't. You should read the SEC filing of Moller International-google it-it will enlighten you

  • what it is the name of this song ?

  • In an article today in London's Metro paper Dr Paul Moller has started production on the M200G that he claims can travel at 80kph (50mph) at about 3m (10ft) above the ground. And surprisingly its going to cost as little (relatively) as £44,000 GBP!!

  • Looks are decieving-just like him-he was sued by the SEC for mileading people to invest in his company. He should be shut down so people don't lose anymore money to an ongoing scam! 40 years and running!

  • If you want to scam people, there are easier ways. The guy might be delusional, but he's no scammer. He's just a dreamer with some damm good engineering skills. And even if he doesn't succeed, he'll end up helping the future engineers that will.

  • Damm good engineering skills? Why then in 1974 did he say they were about to enter production on the M200, why has the M400 barely hovered and now they are back to the 200g which is actually the 35 year old airframe with a new name. Trust me that vehicle is unstable and more so in ground effects. I am an engineer and will never value any of his so called research-its a con plain and simple

  • because the world has too many un-coordinated 'humans beings' to operate these fine devices made by genius'. you obviously dont know what youre talking about. im confident that id master a flying machine if one was built even if it was "semi-safe" good looks Bro.

  • Well, you ARE and engineer, and your prose does lead me to believe you are extremely intelligent, so I will just trust you that that vehicle is unstable and more so in ground effects.

  • Whats funny is that they are calling the old 200X the 200G-G for ground effect. Anyone knows that when you are in a flying machine the most dangerous time is when landing or take off-or close to the ground and they say that this is where they will be flying? And over logs and rocks as they claim, the pressure differental changes to rapidly and the vehicle will become unstable and flip killing the pilot and passenger. !

  • easy way to get that fixed. Put a weight on a pole in the dead center of the car. Surround it with a scanner that reponds to the weights place and adjusts pressure accordingly. I mean im no mechanic but im pretty sure that if we have the technology to MAKE a hovercar we have the technology to make it stable.

  • So you honestly believe that there will be no regulations or laws surrounding these new cars? You can't drive a normal car over logs as it is, so obviously these flying cars will only be allowed to fly on certain roads which may or may not be specially designed or adjusted for them. And who says that we will be allowed to fly at a height that will allow a fatal accident? These things will be limited just like cars either by law or mechanically. Same goes with speed.

  • In 1991-2 I bought a video of this, from Moller they still have not made one for sell to the public. I do not think they ever will. But a wish they would.

    Tom

  • Sorry Tom, He's just out there to lure people to invest in his scam-this will never fly as he has said,400 mph etc,it can barely hover and he calls these succesful test flights. He was sued by the SEC for misleading the public into investing ito his company, He does what ever he wants with the money and usually wasts it on himself-vacations etc. a true con-man and hack.

  • deverian pensar en una nueva tecnologia para volar

las aspas y los propulsores me parecen algo primitivo

  • esperemos que funcione
