Great job! This piece seems quite difficult in double bass though... thanks for sharing =) To be honest, this piece is 100% perfect in violin and you played 99% in double bass(The 1% is the part in around 5 minute, you played slower than the original, maybe you were only making it stylish) Really gd:)
You are amazing! I was a bass student at the school concert today and my jaw dropped to the floor....if that was physically possible anyway. I had intended to shake your hand as you passed to leave but I was in awe of your talent I could not move from my seat :)
@bassocat thank you!!!!!!!and by the way this is of an extreme beauty, can't stop listening to it over and over,it is always a pleasure to hear great music and without a doubt to hear such challenging works on our instrument, bravo maestro!!!!!
Everytime that I watch your videos I become Impressed... I never had a rockstar idol, but man.... You are amazing teacher, person and bassplayer! Congratulations! (Augusto from MIMU/Brasil)
Oh my dear maestro, thank you for this. I see you have spent your time in Portugal well. You do indeed show the bass is a true solo instrument. But in order to do that, you have had to achieve a level of perfection. I love this chord progression--it is not just melancholy, but bittersweet. And the way you make the G string sing--up high, oh my! I have never seen your left thumb work so hard, too.
Felicitari!
thanks John for your super nice comment! Ranking is not important for me; showing the awesomeness of the bass as a true solo instrument, is. Thanks for listening and best wishes!
