yes and no- you screw the bottom plate into the floor-however it can be removed if you move to a different home. Of course you would have to patch the tiny screw holes on the floor

We can use OnGard to prevent burglars from enter the house. However, when we are outside, we still need to use the normal lock. That's why in my opinion, both are required.
