  • I had the Bassanis fitted to my Iron together with the Creaming Eagle super tuner and Screaming Eagle a/c. It sounds bloody fantastic! The only thing is the fuel consumption is horrific since having it done. Used to be able to get 250kms on a tank but now its down to 150kms! Not sure if the dealership has done the installation correctly. Going back in next week.

  • Perfect sound bro. Awesome!

  • I just got an '09 last month, and the stock pipes are just too quiet. Yours, though, sound just like I want. Very nice!

  • so do u have to change the air filter or anything else to put these pipes on

  • fuck!!!! i wasent suposed to watch this! iv been trying to not watch any harley vids so that when i get my rebel or something like that i dont feel too much of a poser...:(

wtv its only for my first bike, i will get you mrs iron you sexy beast! and we will fuck all night long

  • @bob119911 just get the iron fuck the rebel.. rebel blows! i got my iron as a first bike and would all ready consider a bigger bike after one season! its a great bike so just get it man!!! im only 5' 7 and 130 pounds and i could handle more bike! but its a perfect fit so just do it

  • @immortalarts87 hahah when the time comes il get one :)

  • Does not the exhaut burn your leg when driving??

  • nice bike tbh and just one question, does these pipes fit with passenger footpegs? saw on Internet you cannot fit footpegs with these pipes. Can you confirm?

    ty

  • Ohhhhh Yess!!!!!!!!! the sound of GOD

  • my nuts just exploded. i want one of those.

  • very nice sound indeed! the iron looks much better than the nightster. wish it was 1200.

  • "What is this?" Don't know what you ride, man! Funny.

  • AAAAh...thundering down a beautiful road on this baby.....wonder what it feels like.

  • does anyone know if you could TRIKE this bike

  • hey man sounds good ! How much did the dealer charge you to install ? and is that the stock intake ?

  • Besides the sound , i also think this is by far the best looking one for this bike :-) Great one!

  • that guy looks huge to be riding that iron christ, still a sweet bike. was gunna get it but the 48 sucked me in love both of em great bikes

  • @ChistaEnjoi 48 is really nice ! the 2.1 gal tank would drive me nuts tho lol

  • I'm in college and plan on getting a Harley for a self gift haha But I'm thinking this will be the one I get because it looks sweet and sounds awsome!! can't wait to buy an american motorcycle!!

  • How many miles per gallon do you get? I hope to get mine in a few months.

  • very nice bike love the sound

  • that sound is brilliant

  • great looking/sounding bike. the black shorty headers give it a great look as well. man i want one!!!

  • so do i...next year...can't wait!!!

  • i just bought this bike and I want that exhaust lol sounds awsome!!

  • Hey Gazeta, quick question. Lookin at gettin this bike with the sweepers as well, just wondering since I am 5' 4" will my legs clear those pipes when my feet are on the ground? I know you are a tall guy so you don't have that problem, but with shorter legs I can't take as wide of a stance. Thanks in advance. BTW she sounds great!

  • looks great on Iron! what about the helmet man! safe ride

  • mate ive got excactly the same set up and was wanting to put on the passanger pags. u said in an earlier post that u can get them from bassani ? do u also know if they r available elsewhere like a harley shop on ebay ect...its kinda hard over here in australia to get the avaiblity of parts u americans can get.

  • i read that you are 6'1 and fit the bike comfortably, but did you install forward controls or is it the stock setup? thanks mate, awesome bike

  • are those pipes the same flat satin black like your gas tank? Or a gloss clear coat black.

    Thank you.

  • Sweet set up there mate

  • I'm getting my iron on Saturday and really want to add these pipes. I keep hearing that they can't be used with passenger pegs, but you said they go on fine? No problems?

  • @cjmilbur

The passenger pegs require a relocation bracket. If you get the 2004 and up pipes, they come with them from Bassani. They bolt the the frame and move your pegs about 2 inches back and 1 inch up.

  • @elcaminoification Thanx for the info, appreciate it. That's great that they come with the pipes.

  • for being only 883cc it sounds preaty nice......cool lookin ride.....put some ape bars on it and it will be gtg.....

  • really nice pipes , do you know how much was is out the door, i have a 2010 call the dealer and they told me they had to reroute the pipes and replace the filter and it was going to be about $1200 bucks, was any of this true

  • Is 6 4 to big for this bike?

  • I see that you have a passenger peg that fits with the pipes. I bought the mounting hardware from Harley and it does not look like it is going to work. I am trying to come up with something to make them work. Did you custom build the mounting brackets or did you find some that work? Thanks for the video, it helped me make the decision to buy the sweepers (the best decision I've ever made)

  • maravilhosa

  • idle seems a bit high.. might just be the way i like it though

  • THat bike is like just perfect. Not too big and not too small.

  • I have this bike and it is a very cheaply made HD. There are cracks in the paint on the rear fender where bolts were too tight. The battery cover falls off every bump and Neutral never works! Stock it sounds like a sewing machine and the motor is severely weak! It is a great bike for cruising and aside from the seat I am happy with it. My 1st HD I ever bought and I can say my Honda's are built much better and run better! This is a great bar hopper but is not a "Man's Bike"!!

  • did you get those from the dealer or did you order them from the bassani web site and how much did the dealer charge to install them

  • One more question; did you install a race tuner with dyno time, or?

  • I know these pipes don't have heat shields. Do they get really hot fast? I mean intolerable hot?

  • cream. in. my. pants.

  • Ima get that bike someday.

  • love the exhaust did ya have to get it painted to match

  • did you have to buy a fuel pack?air intake

? or did you put it no remapping nothing?

  • in reality it looks much more mighty. A friend from me have one. the seat is some low-rider style maybe thats the reason why u think its tiny... but all in all fucking great bike : )

  • I believe you! And I want one! lol

  • I don't know how tall that dude is but the bike looks so tiny....

  • @VinnyTheCuz

the seat is really really low (i think like 26 inches) so if he's 6' thats less way less than his inseam. that's why lol

  • @VinnyTheCuz

    tiny but powerfull

  • I bet! Some people complained that an 883 doesn't have enough horsepower in the long run. What do you think? I mean do you go on longer rides (or anything longer than 30 minutes?). Just askin'

  • I'm looking for a beginner bike and really like this one. But I'm also looking at a kawasaki ninja 250r which is half this price but get slot for the money. Undecided

  • @leonsam12

Pretty sure this will have a better re-sale value. A Nina 250R will get old VERY quick and you'll be lucky to get $3000 back when/if you sell it. If your looking at getting a sportbike you'll be fine getting a 500+cc bike just avoid "R" bikes till you get more experience on a motorcycle.

Really the best way to figure out which bike you want is to test ride it. You can look at stats all day but it won't do you any better then a look/feel/ride will do, Research is good

  • How much hp can you get from this bike? I would get it if I knew I could mod it to have at least 100 hp.

  • I have heard with a 1200 conversion kit, a programmer, exhaust, and air intake you can get over 100 hp. But, I have not seen dyno results. I did see a 0 - 60 look at the speedometer before and after the 1200 kit alone, everything else was stock, even the exhaust. It cut the time in half.

  • the pipes look great! i want to get some black pipes. wouldnt they burn your legs though?

  • definately the 883 iron...its so cool, looks great and u can do endless mods to it

  • hi 883ironfan,

would u recommend a beginner with an iron 883, i wanna get one but don't know should i go for 883 iron or a nightster .... :'(

  • I bought an iron last July as my first street bike. I think it is a great first bike, put 2500 miles on the first few months til the snow arrived.

  • nice deep growl from the exhaust. sounds hella good.

  • just bought my 2010 iron last week, i gotta get some of those pipe....way cooler that v@h ones

  • This is by far the best sounding Iron I've heard on YouTube and I have seen every video with the Iron. Those are Bassani Sweepers, I believe. TheGazeta, what exactly did you do to the bike, beside put the Bassani pipes on? Did you have to re-map? Remove the baffles? I'm asking, because I plan on getting an Iron in the Spring and I want mine to sound exactly like yours. Please write me back. Thanks and keep enjoying your wonderful bike.

  • Thanks, yes those are the sweepers. Tell you the truth, the dealer installed everything so I have no clue what was exactly done to install the pipes. I would recommend this bike to anyone, hopy you get it!

  • Do you have the baffles in them in this video?

  • im on youtube asking the same question...got my iron 883...waaaaant those exhausts but want to know what was done when installing them..remapping..things like that..if i find out will let you know

  • I put them on mine, it was an easy swap except I had to buy a socket to get the O2 sensors off the stock pipes and put them on the sweepers. No mapping or anything needed. Took half a day, only because I had no one else helping me.

  • @hoopdog9 got your iron yet?

  • @hoopdog9 I installed the sweepers myself. I did not have to do anything other than unbolt the old pipes, trim back the stock air intake cover, and bolt these up. I love them.

  • hey whats the name of this system. i know its built by bassani but does it havea specfic name? looks and sounds graet ive got a miller lite 1200 nightster but theres somthing abot those wheeles i love

  • Awesome pipes!

  • freakin awesome bike i ride nuttin but crotch rockets...but the new iron 883s are freakin appealing...thinking about getting one now

  • nice bike man, this has gotta be my first choie for when im old enogh to ride, thanks for the awesome video

  • HOW MUCH TO INSTALL WITH AIR INTAKE?

  • Nice Bike...I'm looking into purchasing an Iron. I'm 6ft 3in and 200lbs how are the shocks and controls for a guy my size?

  • looks good i would let my wife ride it

  • about how tall are you? look tall are you comfy on the bike?

  • I see a lot of people asking about height! I'm 6'1", and I fit this bike just fine. Just recently I took a 350 mile trip (one way), around 5.5 hours. I rode non-stop, other than stopping for fuel. When I got home I changed, ate, and got back on it to go riding with some friends again. 3,000 miles in 5 months??? Yeah, its comfortable

  • hey bro were did you get that exhaust at it sounds great

  • okay sounds good thanks a million man!!! i've had some say they are cramped and some say they fit just fine. i'm 6'3 so im a shade but taller. do you got hwy pegs or forwards?

  • what is the top speed of the stock 883 with the screamin' eagle (if that makes a difference)?

  • Yeah. Sounds just about right.

  • I like the sound.. .deep'n loud , just how i like it ;)

  • this may be hard to answer....

do you know the acceleration speed on your bike?

and do u know how much it would be to install a bassani exhaust system?

    thanks!

  • hey man i got the iron w bassani exhaust i got 0 to 60 in about 8 secs and the bassani exhaust requires a new air kit (at least $280), bassani pipes (aout $600), and a power commander (at least $300 for a good one)

  • you look kinda tall for this bike,,,do you fit on it comfortably?? im like 6'0 - 6'1 do you think i would fit on one...im looking into buying a iron 883 thanks

  • it depends on your built really. the easiest way is to sit on one at your local dealer.

  • more muscle.. id deffently have to get forward controls...any ideas as to where i could buy those pipes??

  • go into your local harley store, they'll tell you what you need and then go online. I just ordered mine online, saved myself $150. The stores mark their product up way more then you can get them for.

  • love those Bassani exhausts

  • The guy recording cracks me up. Doesn't know what he is gonna say and just as he gets it the bike fires up and the pipes quiet him down. Great looking/sounding pipes man.

  • That is probably the best sounding exhaust I've heard yet on a Harley, hard to believe it's an 883. Very cool.

  • What model name Bassani's are those? Any other upgrades to the motor?

    Thanks

  • fuckin nice

  • Did you have to add a special bracket to fit the passenger pegs with those pipes? If so, can you please tell me where you got them? I just bought the same pipes and the dealer said I would need to add the brackets but it looks like you mounted the pegs in the stock place. Please help!!

  • No special brackets.

  • Nice! Dude, you've got pillion foot pegs on but no pillion seat. Do you carry your passenger on the solo seat?? Or do you have a Phantom Pad or something like that?

  • wow you got a ton of views!

  • man i cant wait to get this bike as soon as i sell my car ima be like the coolest guy at my job, considering that eveyone else got a sportsbike, oh yeah im getting some pussy 4 sho,lol but it is a badass bike

  • This bike looks amazing. I checked it out in person and it looks like a small enough size for someone like me.

  • those are sexy exhaust pipes. very much noisy.

i believe, those pipes will burn your leg, when its on footrest. isn't it????

    Is it safe??

  • That's the best exhust I have seen on a sportster where u get it and how much

  • Nice pipes. Loving them.

By the way for j694726: I have an Iron too and I'm 6.2 tall and I got no problem at all. I enjoy it all the time I ride it.

  • Nice Vid man. I bought an Iron about 3 months ago. Question, I just went to the Bassani website and they didnt have anything listed for 09 Sportsters. Did you go directly to the shop or did you do this online? Thanks in advance.

  • If you don't mind...how tall r u? And is the power enough?

  • I'm 6'1, bike feels very comfortable even with my height. If you are looking to drag race this thing, no! But for everyday riding it has plenty of power.

Overall a great bike, would recommend it to anyone.

  • dude how do i get these pipes?

  • is the 883 enough power?

  • Love these pipes. Could you please do another vid of you riding past this time? Also have you taken it on any long rides yet? If so do the pipes head up a lot? Is it worth looking at heat shields for them? Thanks, G

  • sick exhaust! its nice to see something other than vance and hines once in a while

  • Nevermind I found a dealer about an hour away.

  • where did you get the pipes? I can't find them on the bassani website. Can you give me a link.

  • All the work on the pipes was done @ the dealership, so I have no clue what was needed, and the pipes came black from the manufacturer.

  • Did you get those pipes powder coated or did they come black ?

  • Great job!...Do another vid! Your buddy screwed up! GEt someone to do it right ... and a few good revs....!

  • Awesome pipes man!! Did you have to use torque cones or a power commander or anything? If not could you notice a difference in the way the bike ran? Thanks a ton man..Im ordering me a set ASAP!!

  • Comment removed

  • Na, I'm 6'1" and it's very comfortable. And yes, there are a lot more choices than just V&H.... thanks.

  • Damn, those pipes are sweet! I like 'em even better than the V&H pipes everyone's got! Great work!

  • how tall is that guy? I'm 6'1" and thinking about getting this bike but I keep hearing it might be uncomfortable for anyone over 6 feet.

  • You'll be fine man, just get forward controls with it.

  • whats a good website to get the foward controls? thanks
