@liindo215badlands sorry but, you're wrong on quite a bit of that. a poorly made ported box will have cancelation like you described, but a well made ported enclosure will have a slight delay in when the wave exits the driver and the port. the port length both acts to create this delay, and a resonance. the main reason to choose on box over the other is how the speaker reacts. some speakers would create too much pressure for a sealed box, and some will need backpresure to keep from bottoming out

Hits pretty good..I didnt see any ports on the box;if you dont have any you need them for this kind of speakers. It will slap a good bit harder and sound cleaner.
@killaslice7 t1s are better with out ports, t2s require ports, but that box is to small to be ported for that t1 anyways.. my source for this, is from the owners manual that came with my t1 10" it also went over the 12 and 15 as well as the t2 series, but i do agree if the box was larger and ported, it would be slapping alright

i disagree. a ported box doesnt restrict the woofer's movement, therefore producing louder bass. and in my opinion, it also sounds cleaner.
plus, the ported box will give you the earth shattering bass as compared to a sealed box will give you more tight, clean, accurate bass, as you described.
if you are going for spl jus get you sum fi btl's and its good game if you toss em enuff power and toss em in a nice box. nice subs btw. what you got runnin em?

These are actually pretty nice. Correct me if I'm wrong, but since there's no really low bass like 45hz and below distorting the mic, and it gets really responsive above that, these subs are in a ported enclosure? Either way this is a fine setup, minus the terminal cups/connectors. I had a 15T1 in the back of my Tacoma once with two 10" MTX 8000s, it sounded nice! All sealed, no ported. Again, nice setup in the video!
@GODuvG3ARS yes I did actually, I turned the gain to a negative value. Most amps dont have that, but I guess its a feature that I was lucky to get on mine. :-/

i used to have a 12" Fi BTL in a ported box that would knock the hat off of the neighboring cars head. Sealed does sound cleaner, but ported hits harder.

i disagree. a ported box doesnt restrict the woofer's movement, therefore producing louder bass. and in my opinion, it also sounds cleaner.
plus, the ported box will give you the earth shattering bass as compared to a sealed box will give you more tight, clean, accurate bass, as you described.

and... actually... who said anything about a "10k audio setup?" ive easily spent that much collectively on various components of my system, having to replace things for better sq from time to time. in that setup is 13w7's, which if you knew anything are like $1,100 new. you can get them cheaper but they are expensive. when you add crossovers, multiple amps and caps, new batteries, wiring, in car component speakers, double din dvd/cd... that shit is not fucking cheap buddy. your fucking retarded.

im not sayin l7's suck AT ALL. ill never talk shit to someone unless they talk shit first, and sir, you havent talked any shit. Here is my main argument. If you want some spl subs, by all means l7's were made for that. not downing the l7's at all they are nice subs, i just think jl's sound better... BUT they cost ALOT more, so in terms of literal bang for your buck... l7's win. sorry for the misunderstanding, and dont let ANYONE tell you your shit sucks. If you like it, thats all that matters.

These are actually pretty nice. Correct me if I'm wrong, but since there's no really low bass like 45hz and below distorting the mic, and it gets really responsive above that, these subs are in a ported enclosure? Either way this is a fine setup, minus the terminal cups/connectors. I had a 15T1 in the back of my Tacoma once with two 10" MTX 8000s, it sounded nice! All sealed, no ported. Again, nice setup in the video!

@GODuvG3ARS yes I did actually, I turned the gain to a negative value. Most amps dont have that, but I guess its a feature that I was lucky to get on mine. :-/
