@danthman114 You can get started for as little as a couple of hundred dollars or thousands of dollars. Check out "The $50 Knife Shop" by Wayne Goddard for knife making on the cheap.
@danthman114 probably below $100 all you need is a anvil or something to beat on, a hammer, tongs, and a forge, which you can easily build for less then $20.
I want to get into Blacksmithing. I want to make my own swords and armor but I don't know where to start. I live in a suburban neighborhood so I don't think I could have one in my back yard. How do i become an apprentice of a blacksmith? Should I get books on blacksmithing?
@sirchristian12 Unless there's something in the contract saying you cant have a forge, you can. Although all the hammering might piss off your neighbors
AWESOME!! I'v already started as a blacksmith and sort of bladsmith but still i can always learn more, and it reminds me of the class i took in flordale ON; not sure if i spelled that right
