We took the yellow wire from under the dash. Plugged that wire into the end of an extension cord and then touched the prong end of the extension cord to the 9v battery and boom it worked. I would not have believed had I not see the mechanic do it with my own eyes...

When airbags go off in the car you cant even breathe if the windows are up, because of the dust. Plus it stinks really bad. My mom hit a deer at like 40 mph and airbags went off, WTF?

this video is funny im using it for my psych project. oh and the chemical they use to make the air bag not stick is what feels hot on your face, and the air bag itself i what gives you the burns, though it is only supposed to deploy at a impact rate of 200mph...or at least thats what the EMT told me haha.

They are not hot it is like getting slaped so you get burns from getting slaped really hard.

i got hit in the face with one in an accident back in january. i blacked out for a second or two and when i woke up i could BARLEY hear anything cuz my ears were ringing. it got hot im pretty sure cuz i had burns on my face. those fuckers hurt!

It can damage your ears permanently - about 17% damage. I don't have airbag, I would not feel comfortable in my car with something what can slap my face with speed of kalashnikov bullet (3000 fps).

Yes, but it all depends on speed - airbags are usefull with high speed, but at low speed they can make some serious damage.

But generally your only gonna crash in high speed, or your going fast enough to actually get hurt when you crash into something. Thats when a airbag is designed to inflate, and not randomly when you bump the car a little bit.

Yeah, I one drove a minivan similar to the one they showed in the video. I got a first hand look from the driver's seat of what it's like to have those things go off on you. Lesson hard learned -- distract yourself and you'll be lucky if nothing happens.

Anyway, those things freaking hurt. Scraped up my arms and bruised my face. Ow... What sucks more is the smoke -- it chokes you for a few seconds until it clears up.
