It was just as easy for me and I didn't even use any of the familiars in the game... I didn't know about them until after I finished the game. ^^' Same thing happened to me in Circle of the Moon. Beat it without ever touching magic.

and not to be used by the belmonts until 1999, that's when the whip was handed down to the morris family, who couldn't use alot like the belmonts can since they are non-belmont they must use that whip wisely or suffer the consequences or atleast that is what i heard

So after everything about richter being controlled into being lofd of dracula's castle, and defeating shaft and dracula, I assume that is when the belmonts are not allowed to touch their legendary "vampire killer" whip because how richter became possessed under shaft's control making him plan the resurrection of Count Dracula, than fighting alucard with that vampire killer whip, but after alucard's success in defeating both shaft and dracula i assume that's when the whip was acting up

Hm..........I dont think Dracula meant it when he said "forgive me" cause that would mean he wouldnt want to do anything bad anymore for his wifes sake. But since in future Castlevania games he comes back and does the whole "Im gonna take over the world" and "oh no how could i lose"again Im not sure he meant it.

Yeah, it's pretty simple with the right combo of an item that gives you a crazy boost in attack power and a sword that hits way too many times.

Still, I think you can't get one of those items intill you beat the game >_>

I'm not quite sure which item you mean, but my guy was equipped with the Crissagrim and also crazy high in level too. So that might have had something to do with it.
