Heres my theorie Olimar saved them there were 3 pikmin 1 of each kind they became the mother of the pikmin but when they became the onion they were in sleep untill someone found them to make there babys they saved enough energy to make 1 pikmin of there color then they thought olimar could help them witch he did by teaching them how to fight and then the pikmin waited for there leader to come back because they were taught to respect there master and waited till they came back
