Does your VV-X use the Exhibition soundbox? I just got a 1921 VV-X in golden oak that has the No.2 soundbox, & even with a soft tone needle it is almost as loud as my Credenza. I was stunned at how loud it was on acoustic 78s. We had a VV-X in mahogany when I was 8, the old folks left it in the attic when they sold their house to my father-I don't remember it having that kind of volume. I destroyed it when I was 13 trying to take it apart after the spring went "boing!". Great little machine!
Excelente versión de una vieja canción mora de 500 años de antigüedad que en México conocemos como Las Golondrinas. Sin duda el toque de mariachi la relanzó a la fama.

Great to hear this - moreover in excellent sound quality - by one of the great Victor recording artists during the first two decades of the 20th century. He even recorded with Caruso and Schipa.
Muy buena version de esta gran cancion Mexicana.

Besides his legendary legato, no one enunciated Castilian Spanish with the aristocratic poise and clarity of de Gogorza. What a wonderful artist.
Excellent, resonant reproduction.

Kspm01, Thank you-I'm so glad you enjoyed it. It was a lucky find! It's not an 'archive-type' copy but it's quite playable on the Victrola. YF, J.

Great thing for me, musically. As well as the info that Carlos Francisco is a pseudonym for Emilio de Gogorza.

Jurek, Thank you. Yes, I learned from another YouTuber about the pseudonym initially. I am learning a great deal from these videos myself! YF, J.
