How could you not want to hear this with the rain? It was an amazing moment I'll never forget. Even if it wasn't raining I'm a "mainstreamesque fan" who would have picked it over Idioteque.
cant believe people are telling you how to hold a camera, thanks for recording this period, this was the best part of my night , thanks again, i am glad there is record of this glorious moment !!
I cheered as loud as I could for Idioteque.. but damn those mainstream-esque fans! I saw them play it in 2003 at t-bird and it was definitely my favourite.
I don't know if the crowds desire to hear paranoid over idioteque had anything to do with their being 'mainstream-esque'. I'm sure it had much more to do with the fact that it was pissing rain (from a great height, if I may) and considering the lyrics in the breakdown of the song it couldn't possibly have been more fitting. Sadly it seems you missed the boat on what for many of us was a religous experience, lol.
I wasn't fair to make us choose in the first place!!
Oh man, I've been telling everyone that this show was a complete religious experience. During the "rain down" part of this song, if you looked back, there were 22,000 people with their hands in the air, it was absolutely beautiful.
I'm gonna say my favorite song of the night was "Optimistic." I loved the intro, too:
"Sorry 'bout the rain, mates. Oh well, this one's called "OP-timistic."
i jizzed my pants when it started raining at that moment.

Looks like an evangelical church service with all those upheld hands waving in the air. A new religious sect with no creed.

This was an amazing show in the rain! I'm glad we voted Paranoid over Idioteque although Idioteque would have been awesome too!
Favourite song of the night goes to Banger's and Mash.
