It's 6:45 AM here in India now. 3 hours ago, I was pissed off that Rahman had turned commercial and vouched to listen to all his masterpieces from the 1990s - Roja, Bombay, Thiruda Thiruda (God, what an album!), Jeans, Iruvar and every other related video that youtube could throw at me. Now, I am too overjoyed by the purity of his music to be bothered with thoughts like commercialism. Latika's Theme reminds me that he still remembers how to capture powerful emotions with simple notes...

I don't see how anyone could call it disappointing in the least. This is a great movie. So go and get it on kòòkica. Sometimes critics get jaded with hype, and you just have to come down on a movie, which is fine from time to time, but maybe a second viewing of the movie may make things clearer for you.
