It's good to see a player from the post-Jordan era stepping up and breaking and all-time record. Celtics fan or not, you almost have to respect Ray Allen. He puts in serious work to tighten up his game, even though he's the best shooter in the league and arguably in history. Not to mention, he throws down a few NICE dunks every year (I'd like to see him go to the rim more when defense closes out on him). Ray Allen is proof that older players don't have to show up to training camp out of shape.

Anyone can break a record that's constantly in flux. The records that I consider to be most impressive/important have generally been untouched for quite some time. Considering how obssessed everyone is with comparisons to MJ, seeing someone after him step up, and make a place in history for himself is good.
