@lasershipman Was your copy of this song/album remastered recently? This seems to sound a hell of a lot better than the CD I bought back in the 90s. I'm definitely repurchasing this album if it's been redone. Thanks!
IB proves that you don't need deep, dark, racy subject matter to be "heavy." Just write a bubblegum pop song suitable for the times then beat the shit out of it. It's genius.
Don't forget that Braun and Dorman were both influenced to the point of emulation by Weis and Penrod...Erik's even using the same guitar & setup Danny used on Heavy, though didn't exactly go with the same tone on this album...
@TheClam88 Oh yeah, way good, but must have been a speed freak. But a lot of US bass players were influenced by Motown man Jamie Jamerson, he really cooked, right?
@radiootoo They were both drawing from the same palette. SoCal in the 60's was a huge scene. There was more to listen to "than can be remembered", as the old adage goes.
Listen to the organ riff around the halfway point. It's almost the same as light my fire by the doors. I wonder if it was the Doors who took it or the other way around. the riff appears again towards the end.
Good tune, This came out at the same time i got lucky at the county club., Her name was Lois and her cousins name was Jucy Judy, By morning i had blueballs.
Oh ill never forget that evening., The only records in the place was Burl Ives Christmas., Bing Crosby., And Iron Butterflys Innagoda. Have you got the Metamorphisus album?
@Roy5050 I see what I replied to you originally--don't know what it was about -so i guess I understand your anger. Nope I'm not gay though. But I can see why you'd get mad--at my idiotic comment.
Yeah,it's a true psychedelic classic! They don't make music like that anymore. They should be inducted into the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame! Thanks for your comment.

This is pretty good, but not all that psychedelic to me. Sounds more like 60s bubblegum pop.
HumanBeingIntellect 7 months ago
@HumanBeingIntellect If you ask me, it sounds like the organ player ripped off both "light My Fire" and "Nowhere to Run" on this one.
