I remember in '78 I got a black Cylon knock-off helmet that had a cool voice changer in it for xmas. Wish I had it now.

Well, it was becoming a liability...I really paid top dollar for all the components to piece it together, and the fun died down. In the future I can always build another one, and I am contemplating on constructing a gold version next. I sold it for $6,000.00 so it just came to that point where I really want to start bulding my savings again and use the money for other things now,,I dont regret selling it, but definitely enjoyed having it in my house!

Thats too bad. That disc sounds awesome. I always figured if it was your own creation they couldnt pull it because other than using "copywrited" names whats the harm? Thats probably why the guy I bought from had to post disclaimers. We would have all liked to have yours it sounds like. Hope your able to try again sometime. Nothing like going to alot of trouble & detail to do something & getting swatted down for it right?

No this is a 2 disc set from a guy in Indiana ~ one disc has a 1 hour stereo loop with no phrases & another disc with different variations. One has a loop with the "by your command phrase", A boot-up variant like in the return of starbuck episode & also a redeye loop. It's awesome. Sorry I missed yours.

Well, I tried to sell mine on Ebay but they caught on that it was an audio cd and closed my auction immediately. I made the cd's using a real vocoder and speeking my own phrases in the gold and silver Cylon voices, so there was much more phrases on my 1 hr cd than in the series, and the phrases were just as deep and sounded almost identical to the original Cylon voices, so it was better than just sampling phrases from the movie, I looped them on an mp3 player in mounted it in the backpack

Awesome reproduction. Does look screen used. You can finish yours off with the authentic cylon eye effect cd on ebay like I did. It's the exact effect used on the show. Best 10 bucks I ever spent.

If you are talking aboout the 1 hour loop of the warble eye sound with the Cylon Voice phrases, I was the one that made those CD's!!

Hey, that costume is awesome. It looks like it was screen used but on my video you said it wasn't. Mine is pretty good but yours looks very authentic. The body suit itself and especially the collar are closer than mine is. I like the butt cover material on mine a little better but I would rate your costume 9.5 out of 10. It is very good and I'm impressed you did it yourself. Kropserkel made mine for me.

Actually Kropserkel was one of the very first Cylon costumes I purchased and was the Gold Cylon. They've updated and modified their Cylon costumes through the years and actually alot of us Cylon builders have owned at one time, the Kropserkel Version. For $2,000.00 it is NOT BAD, it is when you want to go AUTHENTIC with a Cylon is where you will start spending LOTS OF CASH. The freakin' skirt alone is about $150.00. The most difficult and impossibility is finding/making a real good undersuit

I went the distance...$6,000.00!!!! BUT,,,,,, all original parts, including Bulb Scanner (NOT LED), original battery belt (working), authentic made undersuit (most expensive part of the costume), it is very close to the originals-don't get me wrong I would LOVE to own an original, but the budget fot one of those runs between $25,000 to $50,000 US Dollars and for now, I am overall satisfied with mine considering it is NON screen used. Took me nearly two years from start to finish on this project

I can understand how the undersuit would be the most expensive peice of this outstanding Cylon Armor. I'm thinking about purchasing Cylon Armor from Kropserkel. Where did you get your helmet and neck/backpack peice. I do notice several differences between the two.

I own a set of SDS Stormtrooper armor and am very satisfied with it. Classic Cylon is next on my list to own/wear. Any advice?
