It is absolutely ridiculous to make a vocal quality comparison between Tarja & Annette, especially in a live performance. Tarja is a classically trained singer with an operatic style and Annette is a professional singer with more of a pop / rock style. Both sound great with Nightwish, just like Simone of Epica, Sharon of Within Temptation, or Elyze of Amaranthe. All these ladies are as talented as they are beautiful so haters should just shut the fuck up and enjoy the music & the view!

Each person is entitled to an opinion and my would be "are you freakin kiddin me". There is NO comparison in NightWish with Tarja -vs- the new band. Whoever was at fault for the old Nightwish splitup is not important now but what is important is Anette will never be able to perform at Tarja's level nor will the band ever sound as good as what they once had. Nightwish should now be named just "Wish" because they are just 1/2 the band they used to be. Bummer!. Now look up some Tarja's new music
Well, actually I think Anette sings very good, but she can't sing in a group like Nightwish. I think this song is sung by Anette as good as sung by Tarja, but if you hear a song like Dead to the World, you understand exactly what I want to say.
I really like Annette, but there are some nightwish songs that she really can't pull off and this is one of them. Marco's voice just overpowers her in this song, which wasn't the case when tarja sung it.

the voice is not fit the music so they had to make the music in dark passion play softer and more innocent to fit her voice. wondering when will she feel enough famous to leave nightwish and begin her solo. nightwish changed so much.

Each person is entitled to an opinion and my would be "are you freakin kiddin me". There is NO comparison in NightWish with Tarja -vs- the new band. Whoever was at fault for the old Nightwish splitup is not important now but what is important is Anette will never be able to perform at Tarja's level nor will the band ever sound as good as what they once had. Nightwish should now be named just "Wish" because they are just 1/2 the band they used to be. Bummer!. Now look up some Tarja's new music

Well, actually I think Anette sings very good, but she can't sing in a group like Nightwish. I think this song is sung by Anette as good as sung by Tarja, but if you hear a song like Dead to the World, you understand exactly what I want to say.

I really like Annette, but there are some nightwish songs that she really can't pull off and this is one of them. Marco's voice just overpowers her in this song, which wasn't the case when tarja sung it.

But Anette just killed the song woth her unapprepriate voice! I really have to say: Anette, forget about trying to sing the songs Tarja has sung. You just aren't her. You have your own voice and music you can sing perfectly, but this doesn't suit you!!

I think the only problem you have with Anette is that she isn't Tarja. It's as simple as that. At least some us have moved on and appreciate Nightwish for what it is, that being a great band!

I miss Tarja too, But life goes on, and I STILL love Nightwish.
But I can't scape the idea that one of the bands had their girlfriend sing for the band when Tarja departed. i know its probably not true but I still can't get rid of it.
I prefer Nightwish find another vocalist..

Mrcold768, you are right, she really puts an effort in adapting to the old nightwish songs, without trying to reach the high pitch, the operatic style tarja gave to those songs. Yet we can't judge other people 's taste. Yes, saying "anette sucks" is quite hypocritical. All we, fans, must remember she was TUOMAS 'S CHOICE. She did not force her way into the band... funny enough, no one puts the blame on Tuomas. Cause It is easier and preferable to misjudge... For the record, I adore him :)
