@jooliet19 Yes, you are right. I stand corrected. Mr. Wombat, I beg your pardon. When things go beyond words, I guess sometimes it's best to just enjoy them and shut up.
One great man had this to say about music:" It is cruel, you know, that music should be so beautiful. It has the beauty of loneliness of pain: of strength and freedom. The beauty of disappointment and never-satisfied love. The cruel beauty of nature and everlasting beauty of monotony. " I don't think any other song can vindicate this better more properly . Enjoy!!
we tend to forget what is important in life..one of the ways that can make us stop and think is music.. everyone should know what are the things that are the most important to him/her and then live his/her life :)
@vin332010z ...I think that it is you, my friend, who are the fool. The two types of music are not contradictions whatsoever; all three (this including dance beats) are made for dance; both irish and african music are celebrations of nature and culture, and bring people together in the same way every day. But if the flute at 7:46 didn't convince you, i dont think anything can :D
I listen to this, and I reailze that there are indeed some wonderful souls out there, that we are not beyond hope. Their music connects to places inside me I never knew were there. Indescribably wonderful. And to the eight persons who voted thumbs down- just when in your lives did you lose your souls?
@mrgakozak Wow man ... that's some deep stuff. You must smoke a lot of weed! HAHA. But seriously, you listen to some good music if you like Afro Celt like you do. I know for me that Afro Celt is like a drug in and of itself, but when you're high, it's like going to another dimension where only pure happiness and ecstasy exist. Nirvana in your own personal life.
This is music for the soul, you forget, you fly, you dream, and you realise the beat of hope...This music makes you believe anything is possible, it truly captures the sheer longing one might feel or desire for something... In a world that is growing more unsettled, isn't it awesome that there is still music out there like this that can evoke such emotion within us, that freely reminds us of the simple power of sound, and music that is immeasurably beautiful and forever in existence... Love it!
@mrgakozak Do you have something against people who choose to smoke marijuana or something? You seemed smart in your responses. What's the matter if people choose to smoke a plant's flower?
The vocals on this song are so evocative. It conjures up images of rolling green hills or burning hot desert. Something far way and untouched by modernity. So beautiful. Gives me goose bumps every time.
@bitsmart0 Believe it or not but this sound has been around for almost 4000 years. If you listen to the exodus from egypt you will hear the same structure as this. Fact , fiction or legend, one of the tribes of Isreal, veered of course and settled in Au Crea, you might know it as Ireland. Afro Celt tried to replicate the sound, but it has been about for a long long time. Movin Hearts have their version, I think its in the blood. But no matters, isn't it just a wonderful sound. Slan
@onangaponanga Because the two do not make a 'combination'...they are contradictions and the blending of the two is an abomination. (At least you signed your name to your post..."Dumb".)
@onangaponanga Are you really fool enough to type "empty headed" to a complete stranger in this day and age? You evidently are. When two things intertwine, they do NOT become one thing. They maintain their seperate properties. You can even try to meld two different things together and they still will have NOT "become one thing"....just an abomination with the appearance of something different. It is your idiocy that causes you two type such a fallacy.....you've shown that you are a fool.
@onangaponanga WOW! Your tiny, DEFUNCT MONGREL brain just resorted to typing "hahah dude, you're dumb as shit". Once again, you've shown that you are a FOOL.
@vin332010z Contradictions? You could have at least said "different". Now the word "contradictions" certainly doesn't fit it as they certainly don't contradict shit in each other.
I gotta agree with the other posters.. I saw Afrocelt about 9 years ago in the Ancienne Belgique in Brussels and that was the best live concert I ever saw, bar none.
i dont know why, but this song brings tears in my eyes. This is one amongst my most favourite songs. Flute around 8 minutes isamazing.I desperately want afro celt to again unite and give sumthing to world..it's been 5 long years since their last album..plzzzzzzzzzz
@duffus1234 i think the album which you are reffering to is not anything new.actually it is acollection of previous songs just like POD. Actually i was looking to sumthng new from this group.
@drocom2 you can try 'Dead Can Dance' - they're really good. hmm...maybe try Jan Hammer and Yanni. Maybe Enya, as well. Peter Gabriel does this music (and others, of course) on his "Up' album and 'Shaking The Tree'. You could try Pendulum and Groove Addicts; not exactly the same as the others i've listed but you might find them interesting. ^_^
I know how you feel mate. Luckily, music like this reminds us that there's much more to life. Relationships come and go, but you, yourself will always be you!
@digitalsephiroth you are so right, i love your comment...we should never forget to cater to our spirit first and then we will be able to give selflessly and generously to others

réponse fausse, fais une petite recherche sur l'histoire des celtes, et tu verras que les celtes ne sont pas que les bretons, ils ont encré la culture française bien au délà de la bretagne
if you like afro Celt i'd akso suggest Buddah Bar, & Yoko Kano, it's all really world music and fusions of such, kinda' like cooking where different disparate ingrediants make a fantastic dish,..
I've loved Celtic music all my life. The ancestors of the Celts, along with other European, and Asian tribes etc. must have left Africa several hundreds of thousands of years ago, so I don't understand where the "Afro_" bit comes in. Can anyone enlighten me??
Afro Celt Sound System is called such because they fuse elements of African music, Celtic music, and electronica, not for "African Celts". In this song, I think part of the African side of that is the syncopated rythm that comes through at points.

When I tried to search for "Afro Celt" about a year ago on youtube, they had maybe like, one video? Glad to see other people know about this totally epic band.
This song's named after the Mohave Native Americans. Don't tell them, though. It's a secret. ;D

One of the greatest songs I've ever heard - still makes the hairs stand up on the back of my neck even now.
