  • Hey wonderfulwombat, is this the extent of your verbal skills? I'm glad you don't write music. It would be atrocious.

  • @mrgakozak but he has a point lol

  • @jooliet19 Yes, you are right. I stand corrected. Mr. Wombat, I beg your pardon. When things go beyond words, I guess sometimes it's best to just enjoy them and shut up.

  • I WANT LE MP3!

  • Love song !

  • I would never know about this band if it wasn't for the game Magic & Mayhem.

  • I have ALWAYS loved Afro Celt. Some of the most beautiful music ever created.

  • Beatiful song, music

  • One great man had this to say about music:" It is cruel, you know, that music should be so beautiful. It has the beauty of loneliness of pain: of strength and freedom. The beauty of disappointment and never-satisfied love. The cruel beauty of nature and everlasting beauty of monotony. " I don't think any other song can vindicate this better more properly . Enjoy!!

  • Wonderful. At 5:30 that launch into the different tempo is just amazing. And the flute that kicks in around 7:30. I'm in love with this song.

  • who did the vocals?

  • @charissa74 larla Ó Lionáird, he is the vocalist of the groupe.

  • @charissa74 Iarla Ó Lionáird. He's an Irish singer who's worked with the group since the beginning.

  • this song was the highlight of my beautiful days fest, big large

  • @spankyg100 I don't think there was a single person not dancing. I was extremely disappointed when they left and Carter USM came on

  • sooo very coooool!!!

  • Hey

  • we tend to forget what is important in life..one of the ways that can make us stop and think is music.. everyone should know what are the things that are the most important to him/her and then live his/her life :)

  • mmm dislike... sorry not for me :/

  • Unity... this is what I feel when I hear this.

  • Xie xie...

  • 10 peoples hate good Music!

  • Ahh celtic trance

  • This music gives life to the masses.

  • I need to cry... soooo amazing... just listen!

  • How can nine people dislike this?!

  • @briddocheez I know right? ...Crazy! :)

  • thanks jazz :)

  • @vin332010z ...I think that it is you, my friend, who are the fool. The two types of music are not contradictions whatsoever; all three (this including dance beats) are made for dance; both irish and african music are celebrations of nature and culture, and bring people together in the same way every day. But if the flute at 7:46 didn't convince you, i dont think anything can :D

  • I listen to this, and I reailze that there are indeed some wonderful souls out there, that we are not beyond hope. Their music connects to places inside me I never knew were there. Indescribably wonderful. And to the eight persons who voted thumbs down- just when in your lives did you lose your souls?

  • @mrgakozak Wow man ... that's some deep stuff. You must smoke a lot of weed! HAHA. But seriously, you listen to some good music if you like Afro Celt like you do. I know for me that Afro Celt is like a drug in and of itself, but when you're high, it's like going to another dimension where only pure happiness and ecstasy exist. Nirvana in your own personal life.

  • 3:18 Beginning of Happyness......

  • Totally agree woetothepubliceye!

  • @woetothepubliceye womad blew me away..such an amazing festival and the atmosphere is so friendly and chilled out :-)

  • This is music for the soul, you forget, you fly, you dream, and you realise the beat of hope...This music makes you believe anything is possible, it truly captures the sheer longing one might feel or desire for something... In a world that is growing more unsettled, isn't it awesome that there is still music out there like this that can evoke such emotion within us, that freely reminds us of the simple power of sound, and music that is immeasurably beautiful and forever in existence... Love it!

  • this is king

  • WONDERFUL MUSIC. This is just beautiful an art form in the making. :)

7 people are fucked in the head. :)

  • what a fantastic piece of music, carries you to another planet

  • FOR FUCKS SAKE STOP ARGUING YOU POMPOUS WINDBAGS AND JUST LISTEN TO THE LOVELY MUSIC.

  • @TheWonderfulWombat Piss off you dirtbag. And grow a brain.

  • @mrgakozak Was that response for me?

  • @mrgakozak Do you have something against people who choose to smoke marijuana or something? You seemed smart in your responses. What's the matter if people choose to smoke a plant's flower?

  • The vocals on this song are so evocative. It conjures up images of rolling green hills or burning hot desert. Something far way and untouched by modernity. So beautiful. Gives me goose bumps every time.

  • @bitsmart0 Believe it or not but this sound has been around for almost 4000 years. If you listen to the exodus from egypt you will hear the same structure as this. Fact , fiction or legend, one of the tribes of Isreal, veered of course and settled in Au Crea, you might know it as Ireland. Afro Celt tried to replicate the sound, but it has been about for a long long time. Movin Hearts have their version, I think its in the blood. But no matters, isn't it just a wonderful sound. Slan

  • hmm... sounds like the brother of deep forest!

    beautiful!!

  • I never fail to be blown away by the awesome power & majestic beauty of Afro-Celt Sound System! Thanks for posting this!

  • Afro-Celt is just one of the brilliant blends of musical styles from all over this world.

Sun Ra saw it coming. On Spaceship Earth music is the fusion reactor.

  • Tin whistle sheet music for this please anyone know where I can get it?

  • Will you please upload the full song? The ending is cut off...

  • Saw these guys in London last night - absolutely brilliant!!

  • What the fuck is "afro celt"?! That is a gross contradiction!

  • Comment removed

  • @vin332010z it's the name of the band take it easy mo chara

  • @TheRealConorKelly Back at ya "mo chara".

  • @vin332010z

How is that contradiction when it is possible to have a combination of both African and Celtic? Dumb.

  • @onangaponanga Because the two do not make a 'combination'...they are contradictions and the blending of the two is an abomination. (At least you signed your name to your post..."Dumb".)

  • @vin332010z It is possible for two separate things to intertwine and become one thing. Are you really that empty headed??

  • @onangaponanga Are you really fool enough to type "empty headed" to a complete stranger in this day and age? You evidently are. When two things intertwine, they do NOT become one thing. They maintain their seperate properties. You can even try to meld two different things together and they still will have NOT "become one thing"....just an abomination with the appearance of something different. It is your idiocy that causes you two type such a fallacy.....you've shown that you are a fool.

  • @vin332010z

hahah dude, you're dumb as shit

  • @vin332010z Contradictions? You could have at least said "different". Now the word "contradictions" certainly doesn't fit it as they certainly don't contradict shit in each other.

  • @immortaltechpt ..."don't contradict shit in each other"??? More idiocracy from the type of person who doesn't get it.....

  • @vin332010z

It's obviously something you are far too dense and sub-human to understand.

  • fu*K this sh*T lets bump enya instead

  • This song makes me feel so alive

  • saw this live 2 days ago :) it was really epic! the atmosphere was amazing...

  • I gotta agree with the other posters.. I saw Afrocelt about 9 years ago in the Ancienne Belgique in Brussels and that was the best live concert I ever saw, bar none.

  • @duffus1234 i think the album which you are reffering to is not anything new.actually it is acollection of previous songs just like POD. Actually i was looking to sumthng new from this group.

  • wow..wonderfull music and clip. 5*

  • This song reminds me of Scotland and it's landscapes, it makes me really happy!

  • Iarla O`Lionaird - a heavenly voice

  • SICK!

  • @drocom2 Try Bonobo...They're soooo good. (in particular the song reccurring)

  • This is actually my personal theme tune. I have also editted it to be used as a ringtone :)

  • SOMEONE UPLOAD LAGAN!!!!

  • @nitsuj1231

    check my videos ;)

  • @drocom2 you can try 'Dead Can Dance' - they're really good. hmm...maybe try Jan Hammer and Yanni. Maybe Enya, as well. Peter Gabriel does this music (and others, of course) on his "Up' album and 'Shaking The Tree'. You could try Pendulum and Groove Addicts; not exactly the same as the others i've listed but you might find them interesting. ^_^

  • music that the mind off to places where only the imagination can go. from flying high over the mountain tops, to the deep down of the ocean.

  • Mit is mondhatnék? Beszarás! Így 50 évesen csak lesek.... Ja, és hallgtok....

  • I think this band are amazing. Not just this track but all of them. I buying your cd's for christmass.

  • tasteful, visionary, natural, simply beautiful

  • 6 stars for this.

  • gave birth to this track...awesome

  • i was listening to this song when my last gf told me she cheated on me

now whenever i hear it all i can do is cry and think of her

  • I know how you feel mate. Luckily, music like this reminds us that there's much more to life. Relationships come and go, but you, yourself will always be you!

  • just let the music take you were ever you wanna go...

  • @digitalsephiroth you are so right, i love your comment...we should never forget to cater to our spirit first and then we will be able to give selflessly and generously to others

  • its ok man, let it out, its ok for guys to cry, i went through the same, just know ur not alone :)

  • This song hits me right into my soul. Beautiful!!

  • excelente musica, por favor si tienen mas videos ,subanlos

  • Sublimely beautiful. Their music is a lesson to the world that when differing cultures unite the result can be beautiful and positve - it doesn't have to be all conflict and fighting.

I would love to see this band live at some point...does anybody know whats going on with them these days?

  • If you get the chance it is SOO worth it. They are incredible live. Be prepared to be wiped out by the time you leave. The show is intense and the journey a wonderful one.

  • OMG! I so agree! The only race is the Human race!

Music unites us all. Or at least should.

By far, the wisest thing anybody has ever said! :)

  • very awesome

  • BiG Up x x x

  • wonderful

  • Ladies and gentlemen, this is the evolution of music.

Laden with folk classical texture, modern undertones brings forth this piece to whole new levels of unification of sound. There is more freedom in the style then most artists could even hope to muster.

Take heed, other artists out there, and follow suit.

  • there is such a deep sense of longing in the atmosphere of this music

  • This is soooo good!!!!!

  • The mighty Afro Celt do it again. I luvs me music and these guys know their music - Of that there is NO doubt.

  • iarla the celtic voice

    it's touch me, I can't describe

I'am french, we say french latin but, french are celts too, we have the same old celt heart I think, we are brothers, love you celt, love you gaelics, and my name is gael ...

  • if you like afro Celt i'd akso suggest Buddah Bar, & Yoko Kano, it's all really world music and fusions of such, kinda' like cooking where different disparate ingrediants make a fantastic dish,..

  • I've loved Celtic music all my life. The ancestors of the Celts, along with other European, and Asian tribes etc. must have left Africa several hundreds of thousands of years ago, so I don't understand where the "Afro_" bit comes in. Can anyone enlighten me??

  • As far as i know it's because there's African/European/Celt members in the bad. & there also playing instruments from their own countries & cultures.

  • Afro Celt Sound System is called such because they fuse elements of African music, Celtic music, and electronica, not for "African Celts". In this song, I think part of the African side of that is the syncopated rythm that comes through at points.

  • super!!!

  • Intro of this is sounds similar to intro of "North Part I".

  • possibly the most beautiful song i have ever heard... the intro is breathtaking

  • Simply amazing!

  • brilliant group, this song one of many that are a1.love to watch them live, never have done yet.

  • Incredible sound and a breath of fresh air compared to some of the junk that is out there now adays. Original.

  • The atmosphere created by Simon Emmerson takes me to another places.

Does anyone knows who's the piper? Mick McGoldrick plays in their first works.

  • ahhhh the first part sounded great but then as the song kept playing it got goofy.

  • From a land to another, from a culture to another, without division but everyone with their own identity and freedom to live according to it.... In peace.... one day

  • wow....

  • nice"!!!!!!!!!

  • I could not fathom such beauty in sound until I heard this. Beyond words.

  • When I tried to search for "Afro Celt" about a year ago on youtube, they had maybe like, one video? Glad to see other people know about this totally epic band.
