Gary Moore pretended to be a blues man? i remember BB king said he was one hell of a blues artist, and remember Gary saying he didnt enjoy playing Thin Lizzy because they werent blues and by the time he left to much of the guitar from that band stuck with him, He was a blues man, a real passionate one at that. but great video anyway's love blues =D
Thanks man for teaching!!! I took me a while when you said Johnny cash finger,I just followed your instructions until i realized Johnny cash finger, his middle finger;) and then his classic picture came up in my head with him pointing with..... well his middle finger;)
My opinion is because to my knowledge Johnny Cash mostly used his thumb and index finger when he played.... I don't I'm putting to much though into it now haha.
you can hear it at 2'30 :-) He s trying to find the name of a string and he says " mi la re sol", what means in french EADG! But for a french guy he s got an amazing accent :D

Hey Mojo, I tried to log on to your forum but the links seem to go round in circles. Maybe you can help here instead. What type of pedal do I need to give my guitar that blues sound. The box of rock has boost and distortion, are both needed or would a plain old distortion pedal give me the noise I'm looking for? Thanks for teaching me some Blues, even if the noise isn't quite right yet!
Had to take the forum down due to spammers. Pedal-wise, plenty of choices for the blues, including classics like tube screamers and Marshall pedals. It all depends on what type of blues tone your looking for.
Ah, nightmare. Damn keyboard warriors! Hmm, I'm not sure what the difference in tones is. From the description of the box of rock would the sound you used in this clip be Marshall-ish?
I would have guessed from the 3 leaf clover dangling there, cowboy hat, and accent, that you were from somewhere like TN or LA and ancestors came as immigrants in the early 19th century. But France it is.
thanks so much! I can't get quite the same bends as you (i play a fairly rigid acoustic Blueridge), but i can cheat by working up the fretboard...i really love these licks
Ive been playing for 25 yrs. but your lessons always refresh my playing and guitar knowlege. Your efforts will be rewarded some day for helping us all.
Hey, great vid! I learned alot. There is one lick you do at about 6 minutes. Could you explain that one? (or if you already have, just send me the vid) Thanks.
Great stuff. Real licks at last with a nice feel about them. Too many tutorials online with no depth. This is worth sharing.
And there is nothing in blues now that hasn't been played before! This is definitely the start of I'm so Glad but is also a Gary Moore style riff. EC and GM are both good enough to play it themselves but practical enough to take good stuff from each other. Just like we're doing! Steal away guys.
Now post the lovely little run in E you play right at the end ;-)
Hey, Really enjoyed watching the videos. Im a big Clapton fan, All of fazes of his career. Just want to make mention, when you get to the part in the video of the second blues riff, you state it sounds like Gary Moore, if I may add my opinion, It sounds alot like Clapton in Creams Opening riff to Im so Glad. Keep up the great work, Videos are great! How about "Let It Rain" by Clapton. Thanks Z.
Really enjoyed the lick lessons, very clear and nicely presented. I also love your accent and the "Johnny Cash" finger! Looking to catch up with your vid's again : )
I really think you could go far. I really like your attitude, and the hat is so cool. It seems to me that your emotions are strongly linked to your music and that's pretty much what i expect from a good musician. Pardon me if my english is incorrect - i'm from Denmark. I have posted a vid that i'd like someone to comment. It's just a song and it's not performed that well, but if you have the time i'd appreciate it. That blues lick nr. 1 really helps me right now. Keep the blues.......
Your accent is fascinating. You sound almost like a vaguely southern-ish American... but every fifth word or so you sound Québécois (as opposed to a French French guy speaking English)
No way you're french! You should be from Texas!!!! :)
