Whats wrong with having an interest in nazis. Nazis were responsible for a great many of things. So many technologies and scientists came out of that country. Many fled the country because of their ideals, but still a lot of smart minds came from there. And at one time they were the most powerful force on the planet in terms of military power at least. Giving us strategies and technologies still in use today (though upgraded of course)

I don't know what he thought. I can tell you about me. My parents never told don't read this or when an old teacher (bigoted priest) told us something in the line of"Jews want to rule the world" it became an inside joke for the family, i didn't get it,I being 8 then.
In high school i read a lot of the important books of the fascist movement in my country (the party was banned since 1940 ) and books by reputed historians. Among other things it developed my critical thinking.

I have friends in the KKK but all my girlfriends have been differnet ethnicities, my mom's jewish and I'm no racist.
This dad is an asshole, but you can be friends with a bigot and not share their views. Often times, bigots tend to have lots of friends who are part of the group that they hate, but bigots (being those who cant think critically) rationalize it as "Well yer one of the Good ones!"

@etetepete In America, the modern Jesse James was first known for his television show about building motor bikes (not the Jesse riding horses;) He somehow got married to Sandra Bullock (a popular U.S. actress who starred in the movie, Speed & The Blind Side) and they both lived happily after, up until he cheated on her, right before the divorce & the adopted baby.
You can do a search on YT, Jesse James. If you see a white guy near a motorbike, then that's him :)
