Real rockers don't care about technique :D DuFF sounds great. There's no other rock bass player who have so recognisable sound :) In GN'R it was mix of flanger and chorus. Now he mostly use distortion and some delay. I know that all you know many, many technically better bassists, but for me DuFF is the best Rock bassist on the planet.

They've a load a great bassists Flea,Eric Avery,Chris Chaney & now Duff McKagan but the thing is i dont really like them only a couple songs

you need to LISTEN to the bass lines, and then you will appreciate how fantastic they are.

Ok, so yer serious right? I mean if it's toungue in cheek that's great. Yeah he's AWESOME! There's nothing wrong with being adequate. Like I said, he's making a living doing it. The bass lines are solid but they're not "the best bass player in the history of music" good. You need to do a little more research on that front. I'd offer some suggestions but that takes the fun out of the search.

most people consider the funk bassists like flea and jaco pastorius and viktor wooten to be the best, but because i dont like funk and i love rock n' roll, i consider duff to be the best
