@Munchy468 Thom Yorke was born with a paralized eyelid. By the time he was 6 years old he had had 5 surgeries on it, making it a lot worse than it originally was. This lead to the angsty sound in his music as he was constantly teased at school. Extra fact: He met the other members while messing about on the piano. Other than Johnny Greenwood, they were all 7 years old.

@highyetdry THAT sound is a product of a deep depression he had between 1997-2002 the albums before an after that have different lyrics, sound and feeling (Pablo Honey, The bends, some of HTTT, In Rainbows and TKOL. as far as I know he WAS teased at but kind of respected because he was on a band called TNT that played constantly in the school.he was the guitarrist and Colin was the bassist. Ed And and Phil joined them years later and Jonny joined his brother's band as the keyboardist
