Quite realistic it seems. Some people have argued that the romulan warbird was far more powerful then the E-D. When in reality they are fairly evenly matched. The only advantage the romulans really had was the cloaking device. The fact that the enterprise managed to destroy one of the warbirds is no surprise to me. The Galaxy class starship is quite well armed. More than match one on one for an enemy vessel except the borg of course. And now of course they now have quantum torpedoes.

I am a bit disappointed so many talented animators seem to want to make the Enterprise more capable than she actually was. Roddenberry was known to state that a Warbird could defeat the Enterprise in a 1 on 1, and in "Tin Man," it was shown that a single Warbird could essentially cripple the Enterprise in a single attack, but your animation has the Enterprise handle two Warbirds and manage to destroy one in the process.

@thusday8 so do I after all let's not forget that the Enterprise was the Federation flagship so for the time it was designed to be the most powerful of courser all that had to change when the Dominion and Borg came onto the scene

Nice, the Galaxy class ships have got 22 phaser banks (I guess) and I never saw them in action simultaneously in the series. It needed a self-made fan video to see this.

@Zcontinuum That was back in the days when CG was practically nonexistent-- all of the effects were done with miniatures, camera tricks, and lots of blue screen. In those days, having all the phaser banks go at once would have been prohibitively costly.

Nowadays anyone with a decent computer can do in a few hours what took a few days at ILM.

Not quite. Galaxy class has 16 phaser arrays.

The Excelsior class has 22 phaser banks.

@Toxis374 Actually, according to a spec manual I've got favorited, the origninal Galaxy class only has 11 phaser banks. The Dominion War refits had two extra ones added on to the nacelles, giving them a total of 13 phasers.

Well done. Just a few questions though; why didn't the Enterprise fire @ the second warbird with more than a few phaser blasts, and could the torpedoes be made to be launched @ a higher velocity and be made more powerful (they are 65 megaton warheads after all). Aside from that, excellent video :D Can't wait for part 2.

Thank you :D Your coments reminds me on a particular scene in Galaxy Quest LOL. The torpedoes could have been launched but Worf had chubby fingers and could only fire phasers at the time LMAO!! Plus the ship was damaged 'n' stuff. The scene in question though I thought it would be too much 'going on' in a short time, so I didn't add them. Plus add the suspense.
