305 is long lasting durable engine no matter what all it is is a under bored 350 with different heads,and a 350 is a great engine is so the 305 and a 305 does have a nice kick behind it just a small v8 but nice!

nice! decent rear end gears would make a WORLD of difference. I would say that should be your next mod. I'm about to swap a tbi 305 into my 91 blazer. only difference is the whole bottom end is forged and balanced. I was thinking 150 wet shot, but seeing how your stock 305 is holding up to it, now I'm thinking more along the lines of a 200 shot. nice work, post more vids as you ad things

honestly now, do you think that 305 tbi is stronger than a 262 tbi v6. because i can positively tell you its not. i have the 4.3 and man whats the ppoint of gettin the 305. why not the 350. i mean im just askin.

Really a 4.3 TBI is weak, the later Vortec stuff is close. Whats the point in getting a 305, well it's the motor GM put IN THE CAR for one lol

are you crazy first off who cares about the tb1 im talkin about the vortec. a vortec will beat a 305 305's are slow they dont last and thyre the type of motor u can say u hav a v8 but its really not fast a stock tbi runs mid 16-17 305 runs a 16 vortec if tuned right can run in the high 15's yes i know the motor in my truck is similar to the factory one but with diff heads vortec heads so yah 305's are slow

So Im guessing YOU care about the TBI comparison between the two. Newsflash, n/a 4.3's are slow, so are 305's, go all out on both n/a and the 4.3 will be left behind.

@262Blazer Since you are obviously another youtube mechanic (aka dumbass) who has NO real world wisdom, let me give you a clue. 305's are reliable engines, building them nets a decent 350-400HP. The only reason they have a "boat anchor" reputation is because they are smog era V8's and the bores dont allow 2.02/1.60 valves. That being so, the 230HP LB9 roller cam TPI 305 will run lowish14's in said Z28 with a 5 speed, stock. The bore to stroke ratio is actually better than a lot of other engines.

nice, tbi is fuel injcted so it is controlled by the computer so it cant fully get the advantage of a 150 shott , but it will give it about 75 to 90 extra tell it over heats, try msd electronic egnition and a 650 carb, it will almost explode ur rear end i have the same car but ive been trying to get my supercharger on keeping the tbi injectors,

What gives you that idea? You can get as much out of an efi car on nitrous, as a carb car. Hell this car dropped like 2 seconds in the 1/8 on it.

stock LS1s are 13 second cars.

giggle gas (150 shot) isnt going to make enough power to take the ls1.

camaro had at least a bigger fuel pump and maybe bigger injectors/tb - no way can you spray a 150 shot without.
