@contact1araya Thanks for checking it out :) Actually, Brian May wiring is in series and I've read that e.g. Bohemian Rhapsody solo is N->B out of phase.
@hsvdt yeah some other dudes demoed similar things but you could only tell the difference clean tone...in yours its ovbious clean and dirty....ver.y well recorded
Very nice demonstration. It didn't seem like there was too much difference between the parallel positions, but the out of phase sounded beautiful (especially on the clean channel).
@sven914 thanks, sven. I wonder if you mean the series positions. Its pretty hard for me to tell the diff between Bridge and Bridge in Series with N or M. I guess I think it's just a little thicker. A little. I (believe) I can hear and feel it when I play.
@dougcassidy Yeah I meant series, but the stock positions don't have much variety either. A lot of the tonal differences get lost in the dirty amp, so everything sounds a little bit the same.
I'm doing a 7 position mod and installing an out-of-phase switch on my Strat. I just need to tie up a few loose wires, and then I can plug it in. I hope it sounds half as good as yours does.
@sven914 rotary switch? if you need help, go to the guitarnutz site in the description, you'll get all the advice you need. And, if you dont need help, go there and show off :)
middle parallel to bridge out of phase 0:47 man that is a groovy sound...add wah phaser chorus or flager and you got Brian May
