Wife and I have been on several cruises. All have been Carnival. After the first Carnival Cruise, hooked. But All lines have to do the drill. The LAW!!!! Can save your life. And the Cruise Lines don' t want to lose anyone. Every line has to do this. It' s not a buzz kill. Takes about 30 minutes out of your day. In defense of all Cruise Lines. I am 6 feet. When I stand at a railing whether it be on our state room balcony, or any where else on the ship. The railings are far above my waistline.
When we went on a cruise last week on the Carnival Victory, we had our lifeboat drill a half-hour before leaving port. I remember that a crew member told me that a few times they left port while having the drill!
Wow, I remember what it was like when my parents went on their first cruise without me. But it must've been PAINFUL to see them leave. Cool vid bye the way. :)
