The Lord's prayer in Yiddish, the mother language of the Ashkenazi Jews. Undzer voter, vos bist in himl: geheylikt zol vern dayn nomen. Zol kumen dayn malkhes. Zol dayn rotsn geton vern oyf der erd, azoy vi in himl. Gib undz haynt undzer teglekh broyt.
Yiddish is also a very old language. It's based on Medieval High German & is classified as West Germanic (same family as Dutch & English). But what makes it stand out from other alpine forms of German is that is contains some Hebrew & Aramaic words & usually written with the Hebrew alphabet. When the Jews began to migrate eastward into Slavic lands, they incorporated some Slavic terms too. Glad you liked it.
There is an intriguing scriptural prophesy that sheds some light on this:
Zephaniah 3:9, "For then I will restore to the peoples a pure language, That they all may call on the name of the LORD, To serve Him with one accord."
Bavel reversed.

If you would like to study Hebrew FREE-I know a great site-Hebrew 4 Christians-just Google it. FREE with SOUND. Learn Hebrew at your own pace, start as simply as the alphabet, learn the Avinu-The LORD's prayer, the Shema, the Psalms, Blessings, it has a GLOSSARY, and much more FREE.
I like the daily site blog that tells of the upcoming Shabbat and Jewish Holidays.
I'm still learning myself. People wanting to learn Hebrew is another sign of the times. "What has been will be again." (Ecc.) "Babel" will end and we will return to a pure language.
@PlanetJackman I had never read anything so stupid! So now other languages are dirty, only Hebrew is pure! Come on! Your god can not be the same God I follow!
Dear @fpcbrasil: please take the time to actually read Zep 3:9. This is not calling other languages dirty. What is happening here is a reversal of Babel. What will that "pure (hebrew: "barar") language be? A good guess would be Hebrew or paleo Hebrew because the scriptures were written in Hebrew. But we won't know for sure until that day. The purpose for one language will be to serve Him with one accord. That's the important thing. My God is the God of Abraham, Issac and Jacob. The only God.
@fpcbrasil Some Jews have said the same thing. A different God. And Im starting to think they are right. Stupid? Did your God lead you to that statement? Thats right Pal, HE CAN NOT!
People wanting to learn Hebrew is another "sign" of the times. "What has been will be again." (Ecc.) "Babel" will end and we will return to a "pure language":
"For then I will purify the lips of the peoples, that they may all call on the name of the LORD, to serve him shoulder to shoulder." (Zep 3:9)
Hello Jmode33, I myself am also of Mexican descent. My parents are from Mexico and I was born here, praise the Lord! Yes, it is a blessing to be Jew and believe in the name of Yeshua as Lord and Savior, the END OF THE LAW (Romans 10:4).
For we are condemned by the Law, but in Christ, we are Justified by his GRACE and LOVE unto the Father. Yes, we are all Gentiles if not Jewish, but we can ALL take joy in Romans 10:12 ("For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek; for the same Lord is the Lord of all, abounding in riches for all who call on HIM." Amen
@PlanetJackman Ich Dank dir Christene für all Dein singen und reden über den ewigen Gott Israels und seinen Sohn Jesus von Nazareth unseren Herrn, der Segne dich und deine Familie.

Wow. You have no idea how much I needed to hear that encouraging word from you: "i don't know but i feel like telling you that God loves u a lot and u r very precious to Him". I have been really struggling financially and with my health which affects my singing. Thank you for being used of Him to encourage me!
The Holy Spirit dwells herein, my gratitude overflowing. Thank you for sharing these words, through your song. As I learn to sing them I feel carried to where I belong ... where is in this very moment, right as now. Dear brother; Blessed Be, in the name of Yeshua, Amen
@DBaumet Thank you so much, todah rabbah! I look forward to when I will have better recordings to put up here for everyone rather than these rough drafts. I'm thankful the Lord uses these scratchy, imperfect drafts anyway.
Kinda like me :)
Baruch ata Adonai Elohey Yisrael, Avinu meolam vead olam
The transliterations were taken from the Siddur, but then I Americanized them... "ee" rather than "i", etc. to remind me how to pronounce it properly... I have a tendency to sing Aveinu rather than Avee-nu..and that is incorrect...in fact you can hear me sing "Aveinu" a couple of times...oops. Still in the process of learning Biblical Hebrew.
thank you very much for sharing your beautiful videos with me and the world because i solemly say to you when i view i really feel the holy presence of the god of heaven he does proof he is with me forever i sense this through your videos .thanx again.you have a good day .
Yes! I finally found the version of the Hebrew for Avinu that I'm used to and am in the process of memorizing. This melody is one of the nicest I've heard and is also easy to memorize. Baruch HaShem! Shalom.
i'm trying to learn Hebrew. I am actually starting to recognize a few words... Beautiful hearing the lords prayer in hebrew sung by a great voice and melody.
