  • just did my 350 camaro engine $250 for a full bottom end

  • These stock rod bolts are known to stretch and fail.

  • my car has the same noise but more stronger and today stoped on free way :( shal i change the bearings and thats it? please help :(

  • @ma7mody you juust destroyed your car, full engine rebuild here you come

  • My cars has the exact same problem and noise. To bad it will cost about 1,200 to replace the engine.

  • @tobysoter you can do it your self for under $300 . get the kit pull the motor

put it in put the motor back in and now you are done

  • my lt1 does that same knocking noise but

  • so replace them

  • Watch the rest of my videos, i have videos of this engine running prior to us pulling it

  • lack of oil . sad story ...

  • My LT1 threw a rod, 180k miles, just sitting at a red light when it started knocking. Lasted about 100 miles till it let go.

  • @studpuppy69 WOW, shocking thought, they could go 200K miles, are you getting a new engine or parting the vehicle.

  • @640101vh Traded to dealer for a Hyundai probably scrap metal.

  • @640101vh my dads has 224xxx its still going strong.

  • @187streetsoldier Not for long

  • @TX97SR20DET how do you know? you have no room to talk 1.) you don't know the condition of the car 2.) the oil is changed with full synthetic every 2200 miles 3.) its not a daily driver

  • many thanks for this informative video diagnosis.

  • just so you guys know, it's normal to be able to move the rods back and fourth on the crank journal.

but they shouldn't move up off the journal.

forward and back yes, up and down no.

  • the gen I motor you're referring to as the "real" LT1 is not an LT1 it's an "LT-1" , different motor.

  • The difference is, indeed, between "Generation I" and "Generation II." Leaving that part out will confuse people. But, everybody does anyway. Whoopie!

  • @v8killers just call it the 1970 LT-1 and the gen 2 call it the 93-97 LT1 lol

  • The real LT1 was avail only on the vette and z-28 from 1970-1972. It used solid lifters, 11:1 compression, a high-performance camshaft, and a Holley four-barrel carburetor on a special aluminum intake to produce 370 hp.

K Nuff said on that haha

  • @CoolVIguy for the 70-72 version there's a hyphen in it, i.e. "LT-1".

  • There were a few different versions of the LT1. All feature a cast iron block, with aluminum heads in the Y and F bodies, and cast iron heads in the B and D bodies. Corvette blocks had four-bolt main caps, while most other blocks were two-bolt main caps. So the GEN 2 Lt1 can be either

  • 2 bolt Main LT1? hmmm

  • ummmm thoes arnt suppost to move at all all the ones that move need to be replaced

  • your f**kin stupid. their is suppose to be room between them to flex that way the oil wont get stuck and burn up between the rod and the crank.

  • You are correct, they have to move side to side so oil will get out.

  • what the hell r yuz doin?

  • they dont know

  • exactly
