I'd question the band's name, "kerosene". While it's got trucker connections because it's really #2 diesel fuel, it's sort of a wet blanket because kerosene is a really tame fuel, it's not explosive, and is associated with kerosene lanterns.
How about a hip name. I'm not good at that, but maybe like "Ohio Breakers" or "red state maniacs" or just "Karri", or maybe "Heartbreakers"? Competing with hip names like "Life of Agony", "kerosene" seems tame.
