    good lesson !

  • BRILL LEARNT LOADS KEEP ROCKIN

  • are u using on a strat? mine has a fret buzz. maybe the frets are not aligned..

  • Shouldn't be a problem.Tis Electric so no-one should hear when play with a amp.

  • Thanks, very helpfull.

  • he looks like his strings are really light...

  • Yeah I was thinking the same thing

  • great for beginners!

  • This is fantastic good lesson!!!

  • good lesson, way too much reverb.

  • fantastic teacher !!!! people do yourself a favour and subscibe..... youll love the lessons

  • Dan you are without doubt The Man.

Few equals on the internet for guitar

    regards

    banjofred

  • Thank Man! Helped me alot

  • is lick 46 from an a7x song? im sure it is

  • Dont think it is, but Pentatonic stuff usually tends to sound the same, and it is used SOOO many times by any band.

  • What guitar is that ?

  • it's an ibanez i guess

but i'm not sure what model is it

  • I know now my friend, it's an Tom Anderson's guitar

  • how would you have any clue? all you can see are the fretboard

  • holy crap talk about extreme sustain lol this rocks u got sum wicked tone man

  • Hey Dan, ths is Josh. Very creative on your part, n very well explained as always

  • Theory helps a lot with this kind of stuff. Once you learn theory and take some lessons with improvisation, licks won't be at all important.

But, that doesn't mean that licks aren't a good way to start improvising!

  • sounds like Steve ray Vaughn

  • thats what i thought.

  • Thanks ! Its a great help..... All the best !

  • great lesson, cool licks

  • thank you for the start!

It will help to find the tone!

    Nice!

  • Good lesson, way above my level though, just a beginner here. Will keep at it though. Thanks.

  • practice practice practice then practice some more. then listen to the gods of rock. :)

  • wow nice! love your tone!

  • enjoyed some of the odd sounds riffs but am looking for the old black delta blues music

  • the second bend on the 48th lick does NOT fit mate. very good vid otherwise

  • i didnt read any of the comments i just feel like speaking my mind because hes using a lot of different kind of theory lingo and if anyone is listening going like oh ma gawd i cant play guitar because i dont know theory, a lot of really good guitar players cant even read sheet music

  • don't forget this is like a video from a course.

and if you're subscribed to him or whatever(and get his videos) he does explain a lot of the theory.

And if you told the really good guitar players how to read the staff, they could do it. reading music and music theory help each other but aren't necessary to have one another. ex, I can read music but I suck(ed) at theory...

  • Have u noticed....Any guitar instructional lesson, When showing the most simplest version of a guitar part....They just cant seem to Not give it Vibrato lol,I do the same thing, out of sheer habit. But I notice no matter who it is,note by note even, the last note they give it Vibrato :p

  • True, but with vibrato it always sounds nice, you can't go wrong when using vibrato, ofcourse that's just my humble opinion :)

  • Denly's style is unique. I own his lead guitar course and I highly recomend it. My playing changed dramatically and quickly with his dvd's.

  • 48 is sweet, but how do you keep your guitar in tune after those 1 1/2 bends?

  • wat kind of strings do you have?

  • Yo ! Dan, you must of have been reading my mind. I was saying all my solos sound the same I need something new and diffrent to add to my playing and solos, besides useing the same old position. Dan thanks for helping me take my guitar to another level. ( You Da Man ) Peace out!!

  • Hi Dan I would like to buy whole pack of DVD how do I order. Please give me address.thanks

  • I like the fingerboard closeups! I wish all videos were this clear. There seems to be an echo on the hammer ons and pull-offs, unless there is a delay or I am hearing things!

  • You r great Dan

  • can anyone explain the difference between 3/4 time and 6/8 time. are they not basicly the same?

  • Basically yeah, but 3/4 means that the bar has 3 crotchets and 6/8 means it has 6 quavers, eight notes. There are minimal differences in the sound.

  • 3/4 means 3 quarter notes in one measure;6/8 means 6 eight notes in one measure...which is almost the same but you use different rhytm patterns ex.:in 6/8 when you see a eight note, you play it as quarter note while in 3/4 when you see an eight note you just play an eight.....excuse me if I'm wrong

  • no you're on. I also do 6/8 as: one and ah, two and ah as well as 123456 or 1 and, 2 and, 3 and, 4 and, 5 and, 6 and. This way I vary speed depending.

  • You`re a great guitarist Dan and a great teacher.

    Keep it up dude.

    Cheers.

  • Hi Dan,

Always nice to get some more info and new things to think of, nice licks...can't wait for the next one.

    All the best,

    Rony Amsterdam

  • Great licks! Thanks for sharing your skills. Viewing the Pentatonic scale in different positions is a great lesson.

  • I love you Dan, you make really hard things look really easy!

  • Cool. Thanks for awesome comments!

  • Dan Really great lesson as i am not working on the minor pent A scale. gil
