It's bittersweet for me, though, because it leaves me yearning for episodes that should have came after it but didn't. It's overflowing with potential, why the heck didn't it get approved for more episodes? arghhhh. ;-;

I lived in the 80's thru the 90's and i witnessed how the film industry changed. 20 to 30 years from now, what does TV and Movies would be like/ Would it be for better or for worst?

The quality of the writing, acting is top notch. I'm quite surprised that I never saw this until now. Too bad it was never followed through as a series.

I concur. If some of the old pilots were to be revisited like some comics are today, things would turn out much better for current TV. However they would have to find the best possible actors to replace these roles, the best possible story writer, preferable the original writer and steven spielberg! And CGI shouldn't be used too frequently, I prefer realistic actual props, they made this pilot perfect, the few views of android mechanics throughout this pilot were perfect!

I stumbled across this while looking for Quantum Leap episodes.  Can't understand why a great show like this didn't make it. With all the crap on t.v. I think the networks need to revisit some of these old pilots.
