Obama's "Making Work Pay" tax credit would be reduced from $500 per worker to $400, with couples eligible for an $800 credit, instead of $1,000, said a Democratic aide close to the talks. This aide spoke on condition of anonymity because the negotiations are private.

In the stimulus theres $198 million to compensate Filipino World War II veterans for their service. Most dont live in the United States. I'm sure that the few left will end up millionaires with that much money to split among them.
What about the vietnam veterans and other Us veterans? And, there is no money in the stimulus for the US Mexican border fence. Now, tell me who Obama is catering to? The answer, "Not the American people."

Will you favor the bill? Will you favor paying off Obama's debts? Obama is trying to scare the Senate and the American people into passing the stimulus bill because he is the one who is running scared. If the stimulus bill doesn't pass it will be catastrophe for Obama because he won't be able to pay off crooks like Acorn and the other crooks he owes favors to. Only a dumb ass would not be able to tell that Obama is running scared.

This is a fucking joke. Each American is lucky to get a couple hundred bucks from this stimulus joke. Even if we got 50 K each... why for fuck's sake would you spend it?? That's why we're in this mess! You spend 50,000 dollars and the dow looks good for another couple of months and then our growing government will suck it all up with taxes and the effects of the inflation of the money pool. Wake up my fellow Americans!

It is simply laughable (and quite frankly VERY dangerous) that so many of you are living on false hopes that each individual might be getting a $50K rebate check (or even a $1,000 check for that matter!) The sooner you wake up and realize the situation you're truly in, the better off you'll be later.

well if people was smart and trustworthy they would invest as a group of people what ever monies they had minus the money you actually need for health food and bills concern the people who trusted each other would than go out and put there money in one gold cd acount giving them intrest on there money which will double in a couple of yrs than if they want they can all pull out meaning double the profit think about it depending on where you go 5% 6% 12% intrest is where it's at

listen fool, i'm not saying what I think. I'm just saying what i've seen, heard, and reaserched. And as for blackmask2012, It would solve a lot as long as we spend it wisely enough, {i.e. buying American made products} Plus if you're out of debt so is your goverment, or you could say that America could never get out of debt as long as you or me still owe "Joe Blow" money.
Shit rolls down hill and it's finally stacked up to their level. Their knee deep and they can't push it aside any longer...

It just pisses me off that they want to give money to the auto industry, but the money won't get the customer to buy a car. (Unless they have superior credit or CASH.)What is GM going to do with all that bailout money???

Our government is printing trucks full of counterfeit money because they cant borrow any more money to pay the credit cards that they have been using to pay for fancy dinners and hookers for the last 20+ years, all while the rent was past due.
So I dont think it really matters who they give "the money" to at this point.
