i live in michigan and i live 10 mins away from bps and i wanted to chek to see if that same mukie was there and its much bigger now in 2011. the way i can identify it is that it has a wounded tail fin. lol

The only thing different about muskie and pike are that muskie have light colored lines on there scales and pike have dark colored spots on there scales right

@seanrocks15 no.. generally musky are lighter in color, have darker markings than run more vertically, and grow a bit bigger than pike. pike are darker in color, more an olive green/grey kinda color, and have more yellow, beige, white spots that run more with it's body. you had it right, just kinda backwards i guess. either way, they're both from the same family, and both crazy fun to catch!

@lkrfn1 sure there is a right and wrong opinion. Small mouth are twice as voracious and scrappy on the end of a line as largemouth, pound for pound. Thats easy to tell.

You Guys are lucky to have those Muskies.

Over here in England We have Pike, ( I think you Guys call them Northern Pike).

They look very similar to your Muskies but they don't grow as big.

My best is 21lbs, but the record is over 40lbs.

you have no idea about the fish they have. my dad is friends with the guy who rents his warehouse to BPS to hold all the fish while there not in the in-store tank. only about 10% of their fish are in the in-store tank. i saw the giant warehouse tnak once and it had like 6 huge muskies. 1 being 57"

they got a pike thats about 36in here at the bass pro shops in hampton, virginia. its beautiful. and they said that they don't have pike in va but they got muskies and thats just as good. we got both back home in colorado. so i'm lookin forward to goin on a fishin trip and catchin those beasts they got out here.
