  • The mom crying like he hadn't done anything... It doesn't matter if the place was empty, he went breaking into someone else's home!!! It wasn't his home to go breaking into, so he was in the wrong. I don't care how much momma greaves. And ski mask and crow bar... that doesn't seem like somebody who just wants to look around an empty hous.

  • You always get suspiscious when some is trying to rent your place in the middle of the summer with a ski mask and gloves. I suppose the crowbar was because the key for the door had been lost. The thiefs always return to the scene of the crime. If you believe that story, I will sell you a tropical vacation in the arctic. The scuzzard looked like a druggy. Good for the homeowner!

  • @Boyo1956 at 1AM no less.

  • Bloody biased. I'm pretty sure law abiding people don't show up to a house in the middle of the night with a ski mask, gloves, and a crowbar and break in to rent a house that isn't up for rent.

  • WHEN you break into someones home, you are asking to get shot

  • Looking to rent the house? Of course, everyone shows up to inquire about a rental in the middle of the night, carrying a crowbar and wearing a ski mask. Makes the landlord feel secure, right?

  • why in the world would you rob a farmer. YOU KNOW THEY GOT A GUN!

  • oh yeah when i go look at places to rent i always take my ski mask and crow bar. the monther is either very stupid or in complete denial.

  • Well done, Mate!

  • you get what you deserve in the end and in his case a .410 to the chest....nice

  • yeaaa!! good storie.

  • Looking to rent house at 1 in the morning lol

  • At least it was a great learning experience for the kid if he had harbored any wishes to follow in his father's footsteps.

  • 67 year old; i keep telling folks leave these older ppl alone, they r not going 2 take it anymore!

  • That was my only daddy... He just happened to be wearing a ski mask and gloves- and brought the crowbar as a down payment...

  • So, he was just going inside to see if he could rent the house. Yeah, sure.

And I believe in the tooth fairy and in gun control.

Seriously, what renter in their right mind goes to examine a property dressed in a way to conceal his features and using a crowbar to gain entry without the property owner's permission? Sounds more like a robber than a renter to me.

Sorry about how the mother feels, but her son did a stupid thing and got killed for it. The property owner was within his rights.

  • "Trying to rent"?

That has got to be one of the most blatant lines of BS i've ever heard!

  • 2:01 thawwas that was my only daddy... lmao

    i hope so

  • Dangit, Dallas! Look what you dun. Not only did you git yerself kilt, you dun made your inbred white mamma cry!

  • lol awsome gunut4FMJ

  • When ever I want to rent a house, I always check it out at night, by crawling through a window, with gloves, a ski mast, and a crowbar. Even if it is not listed for rent, you might as well check it out ahead of time in case it ever comes on the market, right? ... Good shoot.

  • fortunately, Kentucky protects those who evoke the castle law from civil suit.

  • that he miss the low life's wife

  • great to see this

  • Gloves, a ski mask, crowbar, the place isnt for rent... sorry kid your dad was a thief.

  • @glock19x300 maybe he wanted to rent space for repairing snowmobiles ?

  • Richard Helton has now been successfully rehabilitated.

  • lmbo! thanks.

  • seeing the house to rent it?

with gloves and a ski mask ?

    come on....

  • Next thing youll know, the family will sue the poor old guy, AND WIN.

  • I wonder if the ACLU would help.

  • I'm glad the old man wasn't hurt. I feel bad for the robber, but he asked for it!

  • Are you kidding me with the family. Yea they lost their son. Ok but why did he go to a house on what LOOKED like a long road in the middle of nowhere with a crowbar. and 2 other people in the car.

  • Keep posting these videos!!

  • Count on it.

  • I also wear my ski mask and gloves and bring my crowbar with my when I am looking to rent a house in the night. Seriously though, the guy got what he deserved.

  • If you break in somewhere, you deserve whatever you get. If you break in my house, you will also be shot. Right on, old guy!

  • If this would happen in sweden, the guy who shot would get 10 years in prison, the theifs family would get money

  • thats messed up!

  • really. so anyone can come into your house and take anything they want? and if you kill them you go to jail??? that is wrong. why do yall put up with that? if they passed such a law in the states war would break out.

  • NFA '34 - what happened? Oh yeah, nothing

We'll do nothing, as we have done for far too long.

  • Why is that cop calling the robber. the victim?

  • It was three career criminals vs one old man. He is alive because he had a gun and was willing to use it. Once again a gun saves another innocent life.

  • did this guy go to "old timer" bandit store and dress up like a bad 60s robber

  • The criminal got what he deserved. You break into someone's home like that, you basically just painted a bullseye on yourself.

  • "The homeowner fired one shot from a 410 shotgun striking the victim in the chest"

The victim was the one shooting.

  • You got THAT right!

  • Excellent point FlailingJunk!

  • The cop calling the criminal the "victim" gets to me. He was a criminal that got shot. The only victim in this story was the man with the shotgun.

  • vic⋅tim [vik-tim]

    noun

1.a person who suffers from a destructive or injurious action or agency

In this case, the burglar was the victim. That doesn't mean what he was trying to do was right, he got what he deserved, but the cop was correct in calling him a victim.

  • Great video!

If the media showed just how many times the citizens protect their property, or themselves, with a firearm, game over. There would never be another gun debate.

  • Never let the facts get in the way of a good argument, and anti-gunners never do.

  • True, even criminals watch T.V..

If enough were to learn what would likely happen, perhaps they'd change their mind and get a job like a normal person.

  • If I'm ever in the market to rent a house, I'll definitely wear a ski mask and gloves and carry a crowbar.

How can this guy's family honestly expect anyone to believe that he was looking to rent the house? Unbelievable.

  • Cops won't be there, but the shotgun will.

  • that mother talked as if her son was an angel when he was nothing more than trash that got what he deserved. if you commit a crime you have to face the consequences and sometimes that includes losing your life.

  • Some mothers see their sons as angels no matter what they do. We can't blame her for her feelings, so long as she knows ultimately she cannot blame the citizen for protecting himself.

  • im willing to bet she will sue the home owner.

  • Most castle Doctrines cover homeowners from being sued by family or the robber.

  • to shannonm5,

she can't sue because of the castle doctrine law.

  • With the mom and the pic combined, I thought they'd pull out a 'mentally challenged' sob story.

  • Good Job Homeowner!! Thanks for the post aswell.

  • Excellent video. Keep on posted 'em guys

  • It's unfortunate that he did die, but what he was wearing and carrying shows he wasn't there to see if the house was empty. And you don't break in a house to see if it is empty or for rent.

  • I hate to see the robber dead instead of busted, but a crowbar is some serious offense in close quarters. More is the better the homeowner shot before the invader could close to swing range.

That crap the burglar's family was running about renting the place is nonsensical. You do not check out a rental property at midnight with a ski mask and crowbar, that shows intent to break and enter, not put a security payment down. Anyone with brains can see through that excuse.

  • Well, this guy obviously came from a family who have a combined IQ of about 10 from the comments they're making. Even so, I wonder if they really do believe the nonsense they're repeating.
