Both political parties use a certain demographic in order to dominate policy and the gov.The crowd was agreeing with her at that point because for a moment they felt a sense of resentment towards whites because they may have experienced discrimination and racism from a white dominated society.The GOP uses low income whites and white Southerners as a pawn too this is why they receive 70-75 percent of their vote. This is why Dems can't win the South or win white voters.

This was more of as political strategy to undermine Obama's political agenda and those who are considered staunch supporters of his agenda (the NAACP, even though they don't endorse candidates/politicians). It was also done to make it appear that the NAACP is a black racist organization designed to in many people's minds, that whites maybe victims and are subject to revenge by a federal gov. headed by a black president.
