    piece

  • @xxbarr09xx Agreed!!!

  • I remember listening to this song with my iPhone walking through the middle of someone else's property at 1 AM. and crossing a bridge that went over a creek. That's how I'll always remember this song.

  • everytime i hear this song the hair in the back of my neck stands! This is a awesome song i can't believe there is people out there that don't like this jam!

  • Pure Zeppelin.

  • I was listening to this song on a plane flying over the Nevada desert! Couldn't have fit the moment any better!

  • No need to convince anybody about any of the musicians in this band, a perfect musical match of four powerful people who got out some badass music.

  • when i listen to the intro i think of a dessert

  • @Henryguitar95 it reminds me of drunk scottish bagpipe players........

  • @Henryguitar95 makes me feel like I gave acid to a bunch of whales, then took some myself, and we're having a great conversation.

  • @ChipAnnaChair haha thats one way to put it !

  • @Henryguitar95 Wow when I listen to this intro I think about hitting my hookah again...lol

  • Comment removed

  • @Henryguitar95 just listen to this /watch?v=emeB83Q6P1I

  • @atmoferebusandfucku ahaha, nostalgia.

  • @Henryguitar95 interesting. To me it sounds irish/celtic

  • @DonTheTurtleDude ye i can see that, i guess we all have different ideas of what it 'feels' like.

  • Probably the one song that most showcases the ingenuity and range of Zeppelin.

  • thumbs up if the blank space in the beginning of this song annoys u

  • everybody needs some light

    everybody needs some light

  • R U aware? The light is LOVE! Which" to me" is waht we really all R!

  • hearing this for the first time and I fell in love with the intro

  • Imagine if John Paul Jones were invited to the XYZ sessions instead of Robert Plant. Just imagine....

  • FUN FACT! : 'Sex Type Thing' guitar was inspired from this song. . .

  • perfection.

  • rock and roll baby

  • Roachity420: it IS Celtic. Jimmy Page is from Cornwall.

  • @scousefs Yupperoony.

  • that main guitar riff is evil!

  • @georgesorosisgay1 I'm going to assume you mean "evil" as in "bad-ass".

  • @gonnagroove yes indeed, that guitar riff is so dark i have not heard anything like it in rock. page was the riff master for sure

  • Its bc of songs like this that when my friends ask me what the greatest song of all time is i always answer back, "Greatest Led Zeppelin, Beatles, Green Day, Metallica, or Greatest song of all time?" That puts them in an awkward position hahaha

  • One of the best songs on the best Zep album

  • I wanna be buried with this album.

  • It's supposed to sound Celtic.

  • Classic Zep song with a strange unique sound. Starts off weird and becomes ethereal.

  • and is awesome

  • intro is clearly influenced by indian classical music

  • Most excellent album!

  • 0:00 - 1:40

Imagine yourself in the middle of the desert surrounded by sand, and watching Lawrence of Arabia riding his camel off in the distance...

When music makes you think like that, then that means its GOOD MUSIC! :)

  • ,,sounds more like celtic pipe organ music down at the cloudy cold rocky Scottish shore or cloudy cool meadowland in Wales somewhere.

  • I love the Beatles/Lennon/McCartney! I mean classy in a way that no band can compare, as so The Beatles....

  • revivan a bonhan por dios.

  • all i know is i want to feel some emotions from the band and zeps offers that and master that so well i can't ask for more..honestly beatles are okay to me

  • My opinion is that Led Zeppelins music is more a classical type of music. It's hard to believe some of the songs and music they came up with. Zeppelin is the only band I could listen to from song one to the very last. They simply didn't have a bad song. So you can't compare them to the Beatles! Plant/Page may be better writers than Lennon/McCartney!

  • @poke69ful Ah, but I never heard a Beatles song I didn't like either.

  • @poke69ful I think you're describing the wrong band. The Beatles were much closer to being classical music. Led Zeppelin is more riff oriented. The Beatles' songs had far more structure. Plant/Page aren't anywhere close to Lennon/McCartney. Led Zeppelin was way grungier. I like them both though

  • Forgot to mention that JPJ was incredible on Carouselambra, bass especially...

  • I want a keyboard just to learn this song! Well a lot of others, but this is right up at the top for one of the best keyboard sound I've ever head.

  • love the intro of guitar and drums then the bass, sexual love the first line.

  • Comment removed

  • John Paul Jones later became the signature sound for Led Zepplin. Phenomenal sound quality and atmosphere he set, this being one his best.

  • Great Song!

  • The beginning of this song always gave me the creeps..Like walking down an old dirt road at night with lots of fog leading into some kind of dark forest. Nevertheless, my favorite album of all time.

  • LOVE THIS

  • One person is a dick! You bow to the fucking masters!!!

  • This song is a prime example of John Paul Jones' contribution to Zeppelin, and yet he goes unnoticed most of the time!! Let's see who would be playin keyboards on that intro? hmm. Not to mention he could play with Page note for note on guitar. He had every right to be pissed when they had the nerve to not even invite him to the unplugged sessions.

  • @Gonzo9245 JPJ is the freakin man!!!! Without him and his absolutely amazing talent.....the world would be a much sadder place than it already is!

  • @Gonzo9245 john paul was a bad ass but they went through things we dont know about so really you cant say anything ether way... that band was and always will be the best because of every contobution to it... not just jimmy or john or john or plant.... much more went on behind this one gonz...

  • @Gonzo9245 the reason why John Paul Jones is overlooked is because songs like this one are overlooked. Simple as that. Being a keyboardist myself, I admire John Paul Jones the most, in songs like this one and "No Quarter" he shows that it's all about atmosphere and feeling, something that people who only practice playing a regular piano as fast as possible will never even begin to understand. No offense towards those people though :D

  • @Gonzo9245 he got angry?

  • @Gonzo9245 who could compete w JPJ on the bass, keyboard, and mandolin. He was my fav zep member! Ur right, he goes unnoticed all the time (as do most bass players). Without him, zep wouldnt have been the same. He was the god of the bass! Of all ppl not to invite to the unplugged sessions! at least he wasnt a raging alcoholic with a temper from hell...

  • @Gonzo9245 i dont know bout that note for note part

  • @Gonzo9245 but definitely a major contribution

  • true that dog.

  • @Gonzo9245 I agree completely about JPJ, his value to Zep was considerable, and "In the Light" showcases his exceptional talent. He really got the shaft.

  • @Gonzo9245 For sure...he is the most underrated member of the band ♥♥

  • @Gonzo9245 not to mention the BASS!

    Perfection!

  • @Gonzo9245 I though that was a synthesizer for the intro?

  • I FEEL HIGH!

  • One person is in the dark.

  • awesome

  • intro sounds like whales with bagpipes , a strange thought

  • this song makes me think of aliens.

  • Wonder who dude was on the cover? That would be an epic trivia tidbit to know.

Or even what building is that and where. - Anyone?

  • @oldjizzy It exists and it's somewhere in New York City.

  • @oldjizzy Those two buildings are in the East Village in NYC, 96 & 98 Saint Marks Place.

  • @AirTractor24 - Cool. - It would be so cool if someone had taken that dudes name down too. And great if they could track him down. See if he's still vertical and stuff.

  • who in the hell disliked this??? I say the other 181 of us track him down and beat his ass!!!

  • @DannyFureth1990 it's legal too. Did you know it's international law that if you dislike a Led Zeppelin song we have rights to kick that person's ass.

  • @rekoonsghjkl and violate his privacy too...

  • THANK YOU for posting the ENTIRE song. The other dude with this posted fucked it all in the beginning.

  • Sure 'nuff they do!

  • zeppelin is the greatest band in what they did, which was made music, the stones and the beatles made some catchy songs but they dont come close to matching zeppelins artistic abilities

  • First song from the best side of the double album!

  • This is my favourite Led Zeppelin song.

  • Gives me chills!

  • How the fuck people think this music is shit is beyond me. Only the work of 4 Gods could create such beauty. Only John Paul Jones, Robert Plant, Jimmy Page and John Bonham could have created such art.

In the Light, you will fing the Road.................................

  • This and white summer...the best

  • i dont know about that In Through The Out Door was a different but great album to.

  • Led Zeppelin's last great album. After that, chaos hit, Bonham died, and it was all over. They did manage to last a whole decade though.

  • Justin Bieber: "God put me on earth to sing"

    Led-Zeppelin: "NO WE DIDN'T."

  • @SoAPyiLLuSiONn666 why would anyone bring that kid up on here

  • @MINDCONTROLLEDLOVE dude, i love your username.

  • I love this Fn song! Thanks for posting.

  • trippy man 0.o

  • Really cool song....it used to scare my mom. She asked me not to play it when she was in earshot LMAO I Used to blast it in my room.....great days.

  • i like that there are zero dislikes on this track... it is the perfect end of an era...

  • I was gonna go to the beach but I was feeling fat here's a TOAST to all you hard bodies, you make the world fine, fine, fine lol

  • This song makes me smile.

  • I was fortunate enough to see them perform this whole album 4 days after it hit the market. The radio stations were able to get it one day before the general public, and they were really building up a frenzy! Still one of the greatest experiences of my life.

  • One of the best double albums ever, up there with TOMMY and THE WHITE ALBUM.

  • @HankTuds ..and one of their wonderful interactive album covers, something that was lost with the CD and now i-Tunes.

  • @MarcfromTreasureNet1 Sounds like a money's opinion.

  • @MarcfromTreasureNet1 Sounds like a monkey's opinion.

  • This song rocks my world!

  • Physical Graffiti has to be the most intense and artistically important double LP in rock history. Led Zeppelin is the soundtrack of all things that KICK ASS

  • @TrishaDishaWarEagle Two words....The Wall

  • @samalo1995 two words physical graffiti

  • Magnificent

  • no puedo dejar de escucharlo...

  • There are some serious Zep Fans out there!

  • dark is because it has no meaning without the light
