Lol just came back to this vid, noticed i already commented :) i don't actually see the point in mode 1, mode 2 keeps all the cyclic controls on one stick :s

Mode one is mode two with elevator and throttle flipped, so yes it is like mode 2 but with elevator on left stick and throttle on right stick

I myself recommend getting mode 2, it is the most commonly used one and it keeps all the cyclic(all the leaning of the swash plate) on one stick which i think will make it easier to hover, it means you advance the left stick to spin up the rotors and make the heli lift off the ground, you then control the rotation of the heli by moving the left stick left and right. The right stick you push forward to lean the swashplate and the heli forward and vice versa with pushing it left to right
