We should all have unrestricted access to safe, inexpensive opium, like Americans did a century ago. Legalization would eliminate dangerous narcotrafficking, the corruption caused by huge flows of "black budget" resources, and the difficulty of access for the ordinary person to safe, effective pain-relief.
