Had this on a tape from the April 1986 Bognor Dance Weekender - the tape disintergrated sometime around the late 90s I think! Big in the clubs for a long long time around then. Not that much good British electro had been made up to 1985 - this, Paul Hardcastle 'Rainforest' (1984), Newtrament 'London Bridge' (from 1983) can't think of too much more maybe Freeez 'IOU' ...
No mate Dunstall Suite Wolves was as far as I could go in my mid teens in the 80s This track and Masquerade's "set it off " seem to be the only tunes I can remember from these nights!!!!!
I used to have this on a hip hop tape my cousin recorded for me back in the day but i had no idea waht it was called or who by. It is awesome to hear it again and i still love the old school
Oh yeah, edwards no.7 on john bright st, saturday nites, birmingham city centre was rocking with the finest!! d.s.m. destiny always followed this tune. only those in the know knew where to find places that dropped this kind of lick!!!!! long live the old skool massives!!!!
Ditto big up Birmingham! Brum DJ legend Shaun Williams did this mix live in his sets way before it was laid down on vinyl. Scratching gets me every time. Gwaan Williams!
