  • Sounds Like Daffy Duck.

  • lmfao!!!! he is so smart s.m.a.r.t

  • Noce to see that someone slowed down Shorty's lines. Too bad he only appeared once. He was an interesting character.

  • O: i know one of the artists for this episode Laurie Dindis lol shes a sweetheart. XD

  • COFFEE!!!!! EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!

  • Greatest still shot if you pause it at 0:29. Action Bugs! Thanks for posting this!

  • I'm 48 years old, and, I never acquired a taste for coffee. Funny, huh?

  • @DaveWollenberg It's so bizarre how you say you're 48 and never cared for coffee. I'm also 48 and never cared for coffee. I'm a tea drinker and glad to say it's never give'n me a headache!

  • @yocuzz100 Not so bizarre. My sister-in-law's 51, and she doesn't like coffee, either!

  • Pete Puma = Tommy Chong of Cheech & Chong

  • Thanx for slowin' it down. I'd always wondered what Shorty said. How were ya able to slow Shorty's sped-up voice. Please tell me. Thanx for yer hard work with it!

  • 3:33 lol

  • This is awesome-how did anyone get this from the studios? I bet this recording is worth alot!

  • @TheStaticage01 ...it's just slowed down. Anybody can do it with the right tools. Very simple.

  • ya told me to ya told me to ya told me to

  • I think of Pete Puma whenever I hear John C. Reilly talk.

  • Pete has the best laugh! I wish there were more Pete Puma cartoons.

  • wheres the problem?

  • I love that weird little EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE noise Pete randomly makes.

  • This is just the weirdest technical job I've ever seen. Everything's wrong with Mel's approach, even the recording is terrible. Sounds like what happens right before cartoonists are fired.

  • @powergirl901 .... you do know that this is a version someone made on their computer with the little rabbit's parts slowed down, right? This is not the original version.

  • These is a great cartoon. The small brown rabbits has another voice changevthough.

  • yep that is mel blanc

  • Pete Puma's "voice" was inspired by the great comedian Frankie Fontaine (The Jackie Gleason show, Crazy Guggenhein at the "Joe's Bar" skits that Gleason did.

  • @PeteTheSnowDog1

also stan freberg did some voices for these cartoons

  • @TEMPmichaelhansen - Actually, he did the voice for Pete Puma - And by the way, he was a friend of Frank Fontaine's. So you heard parts of the 'Crazy Guggenheim' characterization in there.

  • @TEMPmichaelhansen He did Pete in this one. Stan goes back a long ways. Back to the early days of TV with Daws Butler and Beanie and Cecil.

  • 1:52 LOL, why does "Shorty" suddenly bring up a story about passing by an oak tree? XP

  • @MrYaridovich ....that's just extra audio to fill out the length of the animation. They figured nobody would ever try to slow it down in the future, anyway... lol

  • Aw, this is SO COOL! Thanks for posting this! It's great to finally be able to understand this and hear Mel's distinctive voice! Very cool! If you'd like to see some funny cartoons, please check out my channel, won't you? Pretty please?

  • pete the autistic puma.

  • what' up DOC?^_-

  • "Ya told me to..ya told me to..ya told me to!" lmao every time!

  • This is very interesting. Sounds a bit like Mel's Daffy or Sylvester. BTW, the DVD on this cartoon gives the dialogue on the young rabbit through the English subtitles.

  • Eh, how many lumps do you want?

  • here the fuck is the original version without the voice being slowed down?

  • what a retard at 6:48

  • he's got lovely lady lumps.

  • lol i lov it when pete puma dose that ''eeeeeeee'' thing and it is lol at the end and i really lov that line

''giv me alot of lumps, a WHOLE lot of lumps'' =]

  • CUT OFF MY EARS, AND FRY MY TAIL!

  • iiiiiiieeeeeeee

  • Ahh the lump joke never gets old.

  • @StressedoutGamer I know what you mean- especially when it gets to the cofee part, just love it :D

  • It sounds like Mel's Sylvester voice. lol

  • Which sounds like Mel's normal voice without the Lisp.

  • @TheShoeOfMattie U mean Sylvester the cat?

  • Regarding the voices, according to Wikipedia, they are Mel Blanc, as usual, doing the voice of Bugs Bunny, as well as his companion Shorty, while Stan Freberg voiced Bugs' nemesis Pete Puma.

  • I think that the voice of Pete Puma was done by Daws Butler.

  • You're close- it was Stan Freberg.

  • 0:56-0:59 it sounds even funnier when it's slowed down.

  • I haven't seen this cartoon in years! "How many lumps do you want" "Three or Four." "Wait a minute Mrs. Rabbit" "I don't want no tea" "How about coffee" I've been hearing those lines in my head ever since I first saw it as a lad.

  • beautiful job ! sync and pitch ! i like the end credits as well.

  • Cool I was wondering what he sounded like unpitched.
