i,ve been an ELVIS fan for 50 yrs and when i heard he died a part of me died. ,he was the greatest entertainer that ever lived, he had a God given talent,tat never left him. THRU ALL HIS STRUGGLES IN LIFE HE REMAINED TRUE TO HIS MUSIC AND FANS, I WILL ALWAYS LOVE THE MAN AND HIS MUSIC FOR THE GIGT HE GAVE THE WORLD .. I remember the first time and the last time I saw Elvis on TV. The first time was in 1955 and the last was 1977 I will never forget his singing and I liked everything he ever sang. Wish he were here now singing and live on stage.

im 52, i remember elvis well, it is great that the younger people care and respect, his heritage. he was a poor southern boy from my home town tupelo mississippi, and he never forgot his humble beginnings. he is proof no matter what money you have, you can become a greater person.

It is always very difficult for me to watch these videos and when I do I somehow find my grief for my own husband spills out and the tears overflow and Then I have to go away for awhile and find something else to occupy my mind. I met my husband at a place I worked and when ELVIS died a friend of mine came and told me of his death I didn't believe him. I never knew I would in later years cry as much for ELVIS and my husband at the same time and grieve the way I do so I will be back another time.

32 years later and the pain is the same...

I was 11 years old when he left and I did not know it in the period... Today I look at these images and they hurt me and I cry.... I cannot contain my tears because it's Elvis who left, inequitably, too early...

I would like to believe that since somewhere else where he rests, he sees these thousand people who continue to love him and to honnorer his music and its memory because... WE LOVE THE KING KING TODAY, TOMORROW

@ELVISetMoi I also was 11 when he passed and i remember thinking "well this kind of sucks but it's not that big of a deal to me." As I grew older is when I really started realizing what an unbelievable loss the world had taken on August 16th 1977. His voice just grabs you and makes you realize how beautiful he was. My son's middle name is Presley. I went to Elvis candlelight 1997 to pay my respects.Wish I was mature enough at 11 to understand what we had lost. There will NEVER be another. RIP
