I understand what you are saying, BUT there is also these things called staging, visuals, synchronicity. I haven't seen many groups this big that were as together as they are, that can work a stage as well as they do, and that can fill all the levels of the stage with so much energy.

And they do, but is it their fault that this is always the type of dance that scores the highest. There are so many amazing dances that you don't see because they don't get the top points. Go watch Pulse, Breakin' Dishes, really anything the Jill or Katey has choreographed that's on YouTube.

the thing about DSD is that your just as good as CDC but, you guys just get a really flashy song and costumes which is kinda cheesy and you guys do trick after trick. I think your all really talented but you need to add more then just trick after trick after trick, i think most your dances follow the same technique line. Add better Costumes, themes, stage use and all that,

NOT this year but DSD does more dancing and there not cheesy there AMAZING and its dumb when people do more acting then dancing and really this dance is soo good because the dancers make it look really easy whenn really its really hard and thats what makes deborahs sooooo good

this dance is so fast paced and exciting but i feel like i see roughly the same dancing every year.. just to different music, dance isnt always about tricks and the hard stuff.. its to be entertaining and sometimes to tell a story.. these dancers are so talented and most of them are very nice in person too

i agree...after competition in "real" or professional dance world you will never dance like this ever again, unless you go into musical theater. even then, you will never do more than a triple pirouette. competition at its finest: oh so predictable.

also, 99% of their dancers cant prepare correctly. they are all turned in!

im sorry but please dont applaud their technique. sure applaud their energy! applaud their flexibility, their ability to turn. but dont say they have the best technique.

I think part of the problem is that we are taught to prepare in parallel, at least in jazz turns. When the energy is high, this can turn into turned in real quick. Most aren't as bad as they used to be.

but in all reality there is more to technique then how you prep for a turn. they do point their feet, they don't hunch over, their arms don't collapse, they spot when they turn...
